Blade description:

The Butterfly Cypress Max table tennis blade, with its superior 9.5 speed and 8.8 control, is a formidable choice for intermediate and advanced players seeking the perfect balance of spin, power, and precision. Constructed with a single layer of premium hinoki wood, this exceptional blade generates immense power while maintaining excellent ball control.

The remarkable performance of the Cypress Max is attributed to the unique characteristics of the hinoki wood. Renowned for its exceptional feel and sensitivity, hinoki imparts a pristine touch and unrivaled spin potential. Its high-quality craftsmanship results in a 10mm thick blade that weighs approximately 94g, providing an optimal blend of speed, control, and maneuverability.

The Cypress Max's sole hinoki ply grants it an extraordinary 6.7 stiffness rating, ensuring lightning-fast responsiveness and razor-sharp precision. This stiffness, combined with a remarkable 2.4 hardness rating, translates into a blade that delivers intense power and stability, even during the most demanding rallies.

Seasoned players appreciate the Cypress Max's sublime consistency, rated at 6.3, which empowers them to execute every shot with utmost precision and confidence. Its overall rating of 8.9 reflects its exceptional performance across all aspects of the game, making it a versatile weapon suitable for a wide range of playing styles.

According to forum reviews, the Butterfly Cypress Max is particularly coveted for its exceptional spin capabilities. Players rave about its ability to impart heavy topspin and sidespin, making it a formidable weapon for aggressive loops and deceptive serves. Its responsiveness and feel are also highly praised, with many users describing it as an extension of their hand, allowing them to execute intricate shots with ease.

In conclusion, the Butterfly Cypress Max table tennis blade is an elite choice for players seeking a harmonious fusion of speed, control, and spin. Its single-ply hinoki construction, combined with its carefully crafted design, elevates the player's performance to new heights, making it a prized possession among serious table tennis enthusiasts.

Cypress Max exudes a fantastically soft feel, accommodating fast smashes, hits, and loops. Comparing it to KTS, RSM Plat, and RSM Plat special, Cypress Max stands apart as the lone blade (in my opinion) that delivers exceptional speed with ample control. While its price tag is substantial at $300 USD and its availability limited to Asia, Cypress Max fulfills all expectations of a premium blade and excels beyond.

In a comparative experiment, YinHe M2, priced at $6 USD, emerged as a “speed monster.” However, I would personally opt for Sriver G3 instead of Ts, given its comparable performance at a significantly lower cost ($80 USD). For those familiar with Cypress S, Rorin, or Cho super Cho, Cypress Max is highly recommended. Its exceptional feel will undoubtedly captivate, revealing hidden treasures with continued play.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

The blade is overall very good, with a real soft feeling for a fast blade. However, for the price, I would expect better Hinoki graining. The hinoki lines are not very clear, neither very dense, having also spacing variations. This may be the reason for occasional variations in the feeling (not in the response).

Beautiful construction with very high quality.
