Butterfly Kong Linghui
Blade description:
This all-wood blade is designed to prioritize control and precision, making it a suitable option for beginners, developing players, or those transitioning toward a defensive or all-around style. The construction emphasizes a balanced feel and a generous sweet spot, which assists in executing consistent loops and accurate shot placement from mid to long distance.
Playing Characteristics
- Performance: The blade offers a measured speed profile that favors placement and accuracy over raw offensive power. It provides sufficient feedback to help players distinguish between clean and poor contact through both sound and tactile sensation.
- Balance and Feel: The blade features a balanced weight distribution. While some users report a responsive, communicative feel that pairs well with both tacky Chinese rubbers and modern tensor rubbers, others note that the feedback can vary depending on the specific rubber configuration and personal preference.
- Ergonomics: The handle design is reported to have a smaller, more compact profile in the flared version, which may affect grip preference for players with larger hands.
Suitability
Due to its moderate speed, the blade is particularly effective for controlled looping and tactical play. It is not intended for players seeking an aggressive, high-speed offensive setup. Its versatility allows it to accommodate a range of rubbers, from entry-level options to high-performance specialized sponges, provided the player favors a game built on placement and consistency rather than pure speed.

Review
This blade exhibits excellent build quality; however, it falls short in providing a desirable feel and adequate ball feedback. When compared to BTY Boll Spirit and Primorac, it underperforms in both hitting and looping capabilities. The blade’s peculiar characteristics may render it more suitable for use with Chinese tacky hard sponge rubber. Additionally, the flared handle has a small and uncomfortable feel.

Very good feeling! Not only for beginners, intermediate players can use it with Tenergy 05 FX and Tenergy 80 - what a combination! Must try! And even Hurricane National 3 Neo suits very, very well with my 90 gr. Really rare! I forgot to tell you - very good balance and a big sweet spot!
