Butterfly VSG-TWIST II

All-wood

This blade is highly recommended for intermediate players. It was my first blade, and it significantly improved my game. It is designed for an all-round offensive playstyle.

I recommend using offensive rubber on this blade to enhance its speed. The hollow handle is a common feature of STIGA blades, making them lightweight.

While it’s an excellent option for intermediate players, it’s suitable for players of all levels. The key features of this blade are highlighted in this review.

Additionally, two-thirds of the handle can be twisted. However, caution is advised, as excessive force can damage the handle.

#2Long Time Ago...

At first, I had the Butterfly VSG21-4000 FL. The Butterfly VSG-TWIST II is a bit similar, and I used it for many years with the FL handle. Unfortunately, these are no longer available for sale.

A few years ago, I managed to find one, but it had an ST handle. I then placed my old FL handle on the new wood and filed it down a bit.

Two years ago, I bought the Butterfly Maze Performance. It’s a very good blade, but this offensive (OFF) blade appears to be a bit too fast for me. I was homesick for my old (OFF-) blade and am now playing with it again.

I am still looking for a similar piece of wood, but I’m not sure if I will find it. At the moment, I am considering the Butterfly Boll Forte III, but there is little information available about it.

Also, the Yasaka Sweden Extra and the Donic Waldner Carbon Senso are options, although these are more likely to be ALL+ blades. I am satisfied with Butterfly blades, and I would have really liked to buy another VSG Twist II. I have a lot of control with it and can also attack well.
