Donic Burn OFF-

Donic Burn OFF- - main

Blade description:

This is an all-wood, 5-ply offensive blade known for its balanced performance and stiff construction. It is recognized for providing a stable, vibration-free hitting sensation with a distinct “click” sound during smashes and high-impact shots. The blade features mahogany outer veneers, which contribute to a harder, bouncier surface that facilitates effective blocking and flat hitting.

Playing Characteristics

  • Speed and Control: The blade is categorized as an offensive-oriented tool that offers a wide gear range, maintaining high control during slower, technical play while providing sufficient speed and power when the ball is struck with greater force.
  • Feel and Feedback: It is described as a stiff, sturdy blade with a large sweet spot. Feedback is generally muted, which some players find helpful for stability, though it may take time for users to fully interpret the ball’s contact.
  • Weight and Balance: With a head size of 158×152 mm, the blade is noted for being lightweight, which helps reduce hand fatigue during extended play. It is generally considered well-balanced.

Rubber Recommendations

  • Compatibility: The blade is highly versatile and pairs well with a variety of rubber types, though it performs most consistently with medium or soft-sponged rubbers. These pairings optimize the blade’s aggressive characteristics and maintain optimal feel.
  • Setup: While some users find success with hard rubbers, pairing the blade with softer sponges is often recommended to prevent a loss of touch and to maximize spin generation for topspin driving and looping.

An amazing blade for general play with no outstanding features. Matches well with Palio Hadou (for advanced players) or Tibhar MX-S (for beginners) rubbers.

Stiffer blades are best for the poly ball in my opinion, and this racket is well suited for that.

Very good value for the price.

This is not an OFF- blade, because it is very fast with medium and hard rubbers. It is fast near the table and has a medium speed far from the table.

There is no vibration, which means there isn’t a loss of energy.

This is a good blade for a low price with good control. It is one of the best and fastest 5 wood plies blades.

Best blade in the Burn series (stay away from all+). Best handle ever (FL), with no vibrations at all. It offers a good balance of speed and feeling. Matches perfectly with Acuda S2 or S1. Check the blade before purchasing. It should feel and sound compact and stiff. Highly recommended, but not for beginners.
