Blade description:

The Donic Ovtcharov No. 1 Senso blade exemplifies a perfect blend of speed and control, making it a top choice among competitive table tennis players. Constructed with a premium carbon composition and designed with seven plies, this blade provides players with heightened sensitivity and responsiveness during gameplay. At a medium weight of 86 grams and a thickness of 5.8 mm, it balances well in hand, allowing for quick maneuverability while maintaining solid power for aggressive strokes.

Flexibility is one of the standout features of the Ovtcharov No. 1 Senso, rated at a stiffness level of 2.7, which contributes to its excellent feel during play. Many reviewers have noted its ability to produce exceptional spin without compromising control, making it especially suited for offensive players. The blade’s hardness rating of 3.8 allows for ample feedback and touch, enhancing the player’s ability to execute various shots with precision.

For those seeking alternatives, while the Donic Ovtcharov No. 1 Senso stands tall among high-end blades, options like the Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive and the Butterfly Timo Boll ALC offer different characteristics that may appeal to players with specific preferences. However, users consistently appreciate the superior spin and control of the Ovtcharov, often stating that it is more controllable than others in its class, such as the Boll Spirit and Viscaria. Overall, this blade is highly recommended for those looking to elevate their game, providing an unmatched blend of speed, control, and feel.

It is much faster than it is rated on average. It is very controllable despite its speed. Relatively thin wood and quite flexible, recommended for spinning with soft covers, not really good for grains.

It is the best blade from premium blades? Yes and no. Yes, because you can’t find the same equivalent of spin and control. No, because something is weird. You have the same blade as w968 for ¼ price.

This Woody blade is excellent for short and medium pips. With its softness, it provides superb control and boasts impeccable quality. Donic’s best blade, it unfortunately goes by a different name now and may have a quality difference. I only own an Ovtcharov Senso N01. Kuba H made an excellent review on TTD, concluding that it’s easier to play with than Innerforce ALC, a statement I agree with.
