Shiono Blade Review

This blade is slightly oversized, with a bit more length than most defensive blades. It excels at defensive play, especially chops. It’s similar to the Donic Defplay Senso, but the Shiono is slightly stiffer and faster. While it provides great control for all shots, it may struggle to reach a very high level for attacking. However, all blades can hit winners. If you enjoy chopping and occasionally attacking, this blade is an excellent choice.

In terms of feel, the blade has a peculiar “deadness” that I haven’t encountered in others. There is some vibration, but there is also a persistent sense of muted contact.
