Stiga Carbonado 245

Really super fast blade. Maybe too fast for the forehand. Short dwell time. This blade is suitable for players who like smashing and attacking without spin.

I switched from the Viscaria to the Carbonado 245 after using Butterfly exclusively for the past 22 years. Initially, the Carbonado 245's hardness shocked me, making it more challenging to control than the Viscaria. I paired the blade with Hurricane 8 Mid hardness rubbers on both sides.

Over three weeks of practice (playing twice per week), I adjusted my contact point and began to appreciate the Carbonado 245's superior power, particularly in mid to long-range shots. It noticeably enhanced the power of my backhand, even when playing far from the table. However, unlike the Butterfly Gergely, the Carbonado 245 retains flexibility, allowing for both spin and power.

The only drawback of this blade is its limited control with soft touches due to its 200g of carbon. The hardness creates a quick response to the ball, making it challenging to control when hitting softly. Nevertheless, it is an exceptional blade that shines when sufficient power is applied, resulting in impressive loops and smashes.

Best Blade in Stiga. I was playing with Malong versions before. But with Hurricane on both sides, it is slow for me to produce power TS. That’s why I switched to this blade. Malong is best, but with Hurricane, I required more power, which is difficult to produce. That’s why. This 245 is the Best Blade, which is very best in control and Perfect speed for Hurricane Rubbers. If you want to try other speed Rubbers, it is very, very difficult to control the blade. I got my National Hurricane on both sides and the National version carbo 245, which is not available in the market. This version is best for me right now. Feel is fantastic, and control is also awesome with good press play. TS against TS and Long arc is good; the Ball is not at all missing. Very easy to do that. BH is also good, and BH ts has a good sweet spot. Jerk ts and lifting cut is also good and easy. I will try with Other soft rubbers and try to post the reviews on that.

All these above points are testing with Hurricane Rubbers [BS & white sponge] on both sides.

Tested with Speed rubbers; BH- I tried Joola samba Tech and Joola Max-P Max-P; This rubber is very hard and good speed, but the blade is already too fast, so this won’t suit me that much; I am a BH Player, so I need more control in my shorts and blocks, so I can’t use this. But the rubber is very fine.

Samba Tech; Now I am using only this; Fantastic rubber for BH; especially angle blocks; counters; BH roll and TS are very good with the best control. Rubber has some effect too when we press little Ball is going with cut and dipping also; depends on the arc.
