Blade Review

I disagree with previous reviews and ratings. My ratings: - Speed: 8.4 - Control: 9.1

Tried with Yasaka New Era on FH and Nittaku Fastarc on BH. It provides an amazing feeling with minimal vibration. The dwell time is high due to the soft top ply. The blade is not flexible. It is thick and slightly heavy, but not head heavy, and it offers good balance. I was not hesitant to add power to my strokes. The thickness allows for significant power/speed if desired. It pairs well with medium hard rubbers. The short game is remarkable with this blade. It is unfortunate that Stiga discontinued it. I would choose this blade over my Timo Boll Spirit. The Maplewood is comparable to OSP’s Virtuoso OFF-. Additionally, the conical, nearly straight “Champ” handle is exceptional.

I bought this blade about 6 months ago. It is a powerful blade, but it is hard to control. It suits medium distance players. While it’s hard to block with, if you are an offensive player, I suggest you buy it.
