All-wood
Very nice blade for controllable defense. When playing offensively, it feels like an all-wood blade. On defensive hits, it feels very controllable. A good blade for modern defensive players.
This table tennis blade offers excellent control and a great feel for the ball. It allows for precise shots and consistent rallies.
Not very durable. The handle has the tendency to just break off. Maybe the weight distribution of this blade has problems.
The handle is a bit small, but other than that, it’s a really good blade!
(Mine is only 84g.) It took me a few hours to get familiar with the feeling: something stiff compared to other Matsushita blades, but still with a soft touch. On the forehand side (usual VS401, 2mm), it was immediately satisfying: control is high, speed is more than enough (ALL), everything went like a dream.
At first try, the backhand was a little bit strange (usual Curl P1V, 0.5mm): surprisingly slow. Even comparing to KM Defensive, I had to constantly go forward with the pimple, especially on short games and service receives, to avoid the net. I bet it’s a matter of throw angle since the overall speed is not super slow.
Chopping with LP needed a few adjustments to obtain tense trajectories. After 3 sessions, I got some huge underspin with a low trajectory, and finally, pushes are pretty disrupting for opponents. KM Special is a very stable blade for choppers; the balance between control and power is one of the best to me.
