Kiso Hinoki-Limba-Ayous-Limba-Kiso Hinoki

Construction:

  • Very smooth 5-ply blade

Playing Characteristics:

  • Excellent around the table backhand or forehand play
  • Serves with good spin
  • Compatible with a variety of rubbers, the reviewer currently uses a 40-degree European rubber with a tacky topsheet

Observations:

  • Forehand away from the table requires adjustment, including slowing down the stroke
  • No major drawbacks, an above-average 5-ply blade

Price:

  • Purchased for $50 on eBay

The blade is lightweight at 76 grams, and the flared handle provides a comfortable grip. Despite its OFF designation, the blade offers good control for precise ball placement. It is designed with engineered flex, which is particularly noticeable during topspin shots.

This blade is recommended for players who prefer to play at a close to mid-distance range and rely on extreme spin and control.

While the blade does exhibit some flex, the rating system does not allow for that option, so it has been categorized as high flex.
