Xiom Stradivarius
Blade description:
The Xiom Stradivarius is a 3+2 construction composite blade featuring an aramid/carbon blend. It is recognized as a stiff, offensive-oriented blade that offers high performance, particularly for topspin and looping-based styles. While it provides significant power, it is generally considered to be in the moderate-to-high speed range rather than being an extreme OFF+ blade.
Playing Characteristics
- Feel and Feedback: The blade is characterized by a crisp, stiff, and solid feel. While some users note a slightly muted or hollow sensation typical of many composite blades, most find the feedback sharp enough to sense the nuances of ball contact.
- Looping and Dwell: It is highly regarded as a “looping machine.” Despite its stiffness, it offers sufficient dwell time to generate heavy spin and maintain a consistent arc. It performs reliably during both close-to-the-table play and mid-distance rallies.
- Versatility: The blade is effective for blocking, flicking, and touch shots, offering a balance between offensive output and maneuverability in the short game. It is often cited as an accessible, high-quality alternative to more expensive market-leading carbon blades, sharing similar structural characteristics with popular Arylate-Carbon designs.
Technical Considerations
- Construction: 3+2 construction (Aramid Carbon composite).
- Weight and Balance: Generally lightweight (averaging around 85–87g), though some users note that pairing the blade with heavier rubbers can shift the balance toward the head of the racket.
- Rubber Pairing: The blade is noted for its versatility with various rubbers. Many players achieve optimal results by pairing it with soft-to-medium sponges to enhance dwell time, though it remains capable of handling harder, faster tensors for aggressive power play.
- Skill Level: Due to its speed and stiff nature, it is recommended for intermediate to advanced players with established technique, as it requires precise contact to maximize control.

Very nicely worked and perfectly balanced Vega Pro.

The quality of Xiom blades is awesome. Quality of double price blades. The Stradivarius sounds really cool and it’s really stiff. At first, I thought I couldn’t handle it because it has a lot of speed with a hard Chinese rubber on the FH (Victas Triple Double Extra). But the consistency of the rebound is superior. One week later, I love using it to block, flat smash, and topspin. For the BH, I glued on a Xiom V Pro and it’s a perfectly balanced racket. Incredible.

Versatile offensive blade that works great with all kinds of rubbers and styles. Rare combination of power, touch, and control. My all-time favorite. The newer (2019?) version of the Strad is as good as the previous ones I’ve had.
