Blade description:

This blade features a 3+2 construction incorporating carbon layers, resulting in a fast yet controlled playing profile. Measuring 5.6 mm in thickness, it offers a moderate, consistent resilience that performs exceptionally well during blocks and active play near the table. The construction provides a stable, uniform response that effectively minimizes disruptive vibrations while maintaining a hollow, crisp feel at contact.

Performance Characteristics

  • Speed and Stiffness: While initially perceived as rigid, the blade is characterized as fast without being excessive. It provides a noticeable increase in speed over all-wood alternatives like the Sweden Extra, though it retains a more refined, communicative feel than many other carbon options.
  • Spin and Dwell Time: The blade is capable of strong topspin production and offers good dwell time. It produces a medium throw angle, which performs best when paired with high-draw rubbers.
  • Ergonomics and Feel: Users report a high build quality, specifically noting a wide, comfortable handle (ST). The outer wood ply contributes to a pleasant, solid sensation that remains consistent across various shots.

Recommended Setup

  • Rubber Pairing: The blade is highly versatile, showing strong synergy with soft to medium-hard rubbers that feature a high launch angle. It is particularly compatible with classic rubbers like Mark V, as well as more modern tensioned options such as the Rakza series, including Rakza 7 Soft and Rakza SPO.

Great carbon blade if you’re looking for more speed. It’s made in Sweden.

The speed improves, and the feeling decreases a little, but it feels better than a lot of other carbon blades.

If you like the Sweden Extra and need a bit more speed, give it a shot.

A very controllable, all-around blade. I liked it more than the Malin Carbon. It generates spin well and has enough speed.
