Composite/carbon
I bought one for my six-year-old because I have had a number of Galaxy blades and currently use an LQ-2 Def + blade myself. It’s a good quality blade paired with some 729 General rubber in 1.8mm red FH and 1.5mm Black BH. My daughter has been playing for a month and is enjoying the rallies in training. It has a rather soft feel and is very easy to generate spin. In all, I put this blade combo together for £13.00 UK Pounds. It’s a very good value for money bat for my daughter.
I purchased this blade and an HRT Sunshine from an online store in China. I received both blades in about two weeks (I’m located in the Philippines). This blade is excellent for training beginners who are ready to transition to carbon blades. My son and his cousin love using it.
The blade offers near-excellent control, ideal speed for beginners of their age (both 9 years old, playing table tennis for over a year), and a perfect weight and grip for children. I use Chinese rubber on both the forehand and backhand and have found this combination to be effective for close-to-table to near mid-distance play. I’m curious to see how it performs with faster rubber, such as Yasaka Mark V. However, for now, the kids are having a great time with the current setup. Their loops have become much more consistent compared to when they used the DHS PF4 32 blade.
In terms of value for money, this blade is a great deal, considering it’s a carbon blade. However, the blade’s finish is not as smooth as that of the PF4 32. Some roughness is noticeable on the edges. Nonetheless, this does not bother me or the kids.
