Andro GTT 45

Rubber description:

The Andro GTT 45 is a tensor rubber designed to prioritize consistent control and reliable performance for developing players. Characterized by a moderate speed profile, it features a controlled catapult effect that avoids the aggressive, unpredictable surges found in more advanced tensors. This makes the rubber particularly effective for users looking to build confidence in their technical fundamentals and stroke mechanics.

Playing Characteristics

  • Spin and Speed: Offers a balanced output suitable for allround play. It produces respectable topspin and is capable of effective loops and counter-topspins without feeling overwhelming or overly fast.
  • Control and Dwell Time: Highly forgiving in short game scenarios, including blocking, service returns, and touch play. The rubber provides enough dwell time for players to place the ball accurately, aiding in the development of consistent technique.
  • Tactical Use: Frequently favored as a backhand solution, it performs reliably in drives and counter-hitting. Its performance can vary depending on the blade; it pairs well with flexible, allround-style blades but may exhibit instability on certain stiff or specialized setups.

Very forgiving, very controlling, and decent in spin and speed. I think for a beginner it is excellent because it allows you to gain confidence.

Really loving this rubber, especially for BH drives for counter top spin as well as BH loops. I use this rubber on my FH as well and don’t have any complaints. This rubber spins really well and for a beginner player like myself has enough speed without feeling uncontrollable.

After two weeks of training or playing 6 days a week I have settled right into this rubber and will probably use this for a long time especially on my BH.

I have this on the Andro Gauzy BL5 and this combination has helped me to gain a bunch of confidence.

The Andro GTT 45 rubber does not work effectively on the Stiga All-Round CR C-Pen blade. When used, the direction of the ball becomes unstable. For context, I am using Water-Based Glue (WBG).
