The Andro GTT 45 is a versatile table tennis rubber designed to cater to players seeking a blend of control and spin. This rubber is particularly well-suited for all-around players or beginners looking to develop their skills while maintaining a reliable response. With impressive ratings showcasing its speed at 94, spin at 107, and control at a remarkable 97, the GTT 45 stands out as a top contender in its category.
Tackiness is rated at 1.4, indicating a moderately tacky surface that enhances the spin potential, allowing players to execute spins with ease. This characteristic makes it an ideal choice for players who enjoy developing their looping and counter-hitting skills, especially on the backhand side. Users have noted the rubber’s responsiveness during backhand drives and loops, providing them with the confidence needed to tackle competitive play.
In terms of weight, the Andro GTT 45 falls into the medium category, making it lightweight enough for prolonged use without causing fatigue. The rubber boasts a durability rating of 7.9, ensuring it can withstand regular play without significant wear and tear. With sponge hardness rated at 4.6, it strikes a balance between soft feel and powerful strikes, allowing for effective ball control during both offensive and defensive play styles.
For players seeking alternatives, other tensors may present options, but those with higher catapult effects could compromise the control and consistency found in the GTT 45. Overall, this rubber is highly recommended for those looking to enhance their gameplay, particularly young or developing players who can benefit from its forgiving nature and excellent feedback.
Really loving this rubber, especially for BH drives for counter top spin as well as BH loops. I use this rubber on my FH as well and don’t have any complaints. This rubber spins really well and for a beginner player like myself has enough speed without feeling uncontrollable.
After two weeks of training or playing 6 days a week I have settled right into this rubber and will probably use this for a long time especially on my BH.
I have this on the Andro Gauzy BL5 and this combination has helped me to gain a bunch of confidence.
The Andro GTT 45 rubber does not work effectively on the Stiga All-Round CR C-Pen blade. When used, the direction of the ball becomes unstable. For context, I am using Water-Based Glue (WBG).
Perfect rubber for all-around players.
