Andro Plasma 380
Rubber description:
The Plasma 380 is a tensor rubber characterized by its very soft, non-tacky topsheet and sponge, offering a high-grip surface that facilitates easy, spinny opening loops. Because it lacks inherent bounciness, it is highly controllable, making it well-suited for developing players or those who prioritize precise ball placement and controlled offensive play over raw, explosive power.
Playing Characteristics
- Spin and Dwell Time: The rubber provides significant spin potential, particularly on openers and spinny loops against backspin. The soft sponge allows the ball to sink deep into the rubber, providing excellent dwell time for tactical placement.
- Speed and Dynamics: It functions as an all-round offensive rubber rather than an outright speed demon. While it provides a distinct “crack” sound when struck with sufficient force, players may need to exert more physical effort to generate high-end speed when playing away from the table.
- Control and Trajectory: The rubber is noted for its high consistency. Due to its soft nature, it can be sensitive to incoming spin in the short game, which may cause the ball to lift if not handled with precise technique. It performs best when paired with stiff blades to counteract the softness and provide a more solid feel during aggressive strokes.
- Suitability: It is recommended for players who focus on setting up points through consistent loops and strategic placement. It is generally not ideal for players seeking a “dead” feel for passive blocking or those requiring maximum speed for finishing points from long distance.

Physical:
This rubber is very soft, with a red sheet and an orange sponge. It appears to be of high quality, similar to other ESN products. The sponge has some small pores, but they are not very noticeable. The rubber is lightweight, with a high grip but no tack. The packaging is adequate, slightly below the quality of Xiom.
Spin:
This rubber generates solid spin on opening shots. Slow, spinny opening loops are easy to execute against serves or long pushes. As you play farther from the table, more effort is required, but it is manageable unless you are playing at a very high level.
Speed:
This rubber is on the slower side. It is not bouncy, even during over-the-table shots. Off the table, you will need to use your body to finish off points. Overall, it offers a balanced attacking speed, making it ideal for setting up big shots with your forehand rather than trying to dominate with overpowering pace.
Control, Throw Angle, and Other:
The control provided by this rubber is exceptional. It is not a bouncy rubber, and its low speed and softness allow for excellent placement with spin. The throw angle is relatively low, but this could vary depending on your personal preferences and the other rubbers you are used to.
Recommendation:
This rubber is highly recommended for developing players who are working on their placement and lifting under-spin to set up their attacks. It is also suitable for players who prefer to control points rather than overpowering their opponents.
Enjoy your table tennis game!

Plasma 380 is an excellent all-around rubber that provides great control.
It is also one of the better looping rubbers available on the market, allowing players to easily create spin with it.
