Physical:

This rubber is very soft, with a red sheet and an orange sponge. It appears to be of high quality, similar to other ESN products. The sponge has some small pores, but they are not very noticeable. The rubber is lightweight, with a high grip but no tack. The packaging is adequate, slightly below the quality of Xiom.

Spin:

This rubber generates solid spin on opening shots. Slow, spinny opening loops are easy to execute against serves or long pushes. As you play farther from the table, more effort is required, but it is manageable unless you are playing at a very high level.

Speed:

This rubber is on the slower side. It is not bouncy, even during over-the-table shots. Off the table, you will need to use your body to finish off points. Overall, it offers a balanced attacking speed, making it ideal for setting up big shots with your forehand rather than trying to dominate with overpowering pace.

Control, Throw Angle, and Other:

The control provided by this rubber is exceptional. It is not a bouncy rubber, and its low speed and softness allow for excellent placement with spin. The throw angle is relatively low, but this could vary depending on your personal preferences and the other rubbers you are used to.

Recommendation:

This rubber is highly recommended for developing players who are working on their placement and lifting under-spin to set up their attacks. It is also suitable for players who prefer to control points rather than overpowering their opponents.

Enjoy your table tennis game!

This is a rubber that is suitable for beginners. It lacks spin and speed. Overall, it is an average rubber.

Plasma 380 is an excellent all-around rubber that provides great control.
It is also one of the better looping rubbers available on the market, allowing players to easily create spin with it.

Offensive:

  • Very consistent and controllable due to its high throw angle.
  • Despite being a fast rubber, it requires significant effort to generate fast topspins. However, the resulting topspins exhibit exceptional spin.

Defensive/Short Game:

  • Not well-suited for defensive play.
  • The soft sponge propels the ball high, making it challenging to keep the ball low.
  • Backspin balls lack significant spin.

Serves:

  • Similar to the short game, serving with this rubber presents difficulties.

Recommended to:

  • Offensive players who prefer controlled offense rather than all-out aggression.

Oh yes! This is a great rubber. Most people will probably think it’s a tad slow. However, it depends on which blade it is paired with.

I have these on an Andro Super Core Kinetic OFF+, which is quite stiff, so it really eats into the ball. The tensor effect of the plasma series is great. When I unload with this rubber, the throw angle and spin make it very easy to touch the table on aggressive forehands.

The rubber plays a little dead on blocks though. This would be a great rubber paired with a hard blade and for someone who plays a controlled looping style of game.

Good rubber for slower, controlled looping.
