The Andro Roxon 500 Pro is a premium table tennis rubber tailored for aggressive players who seek unparalleled speed and power in their game. With an impressive speed rating of 9.5, this rubber is designed for fast-paced play, making it ideal for players who prefer attacking styles. Its medium tackiness score of 1.7 allows for decent spin generation, but it may not be as sensational as other rubbers when it comes to producing extreme spins. Instead, this rubber excels in quick strikes and efficient ball placement, rewarding those with refined technique.
In terms of weight, the Roxon 500 Pro falls in the medium category, making it manageable for most players. The sponge hardness, rated at 6.5, provides a solid feel without being overly stiff, balancing power and control. However, while its speed can be a remarkable asset, some users have reported challenges in generating lift or spin when playing from a distance, which could impact the overall game strategy for players who rely on heavy topspin.
Durability is a mixed bag for the Roxon 500 Pro. While some players find its lifespan comparable to high-end rubbers like Tenergy 64, it has received criticism for the top sheet’s fragility, which can wear down quickly under heavy use. Players seeking alternatives like Platin X1 Turbo or Acuda S1 Turbo may offer a softer touch and improved spin, making them worthwhile considerations for those looking for versatile options. Overall, the Andro Roxon 500 Pro is a strong choice for experienced players seeking a fast, power-oriented rubber with a learning curve that rewards precision and technique.
Similar to the Acuda S1 Turbo, this rubber provides a hard and fast playing experience. It is designed for players who appreciate speed and precision in their strokes.
I’ve had a positive experience with these rubbers overall. However, I do notice a few differences that I find less favorable. Personally, I find it quite challenging to generate lift with them. Additionally, my wife mentioned that the spinning potential is less than expected with these rubbers.
Despite these concerns, they’re not deal breakers for me as they still suit my playing style. I pair them with a Tempertech OFF+ paddle, relying on the speed to help shorten points.
Very fast rubber! I used it as a forehand rubber in 2mm. I initially wanted to buy the MAX version but discovered the Platin X1 Turbo.
I liked the Platin X1 Turbo a bit better than the Roxon 500 because it is slightly softer. It offers more spin and better control due to its higher ball trajectory.
