A nice rubber that is a perfect trade-off between speed and control+spin. I use this on my forehand (FH), and Flextra on my backhand (BH) on Joola Rosskopf emotion carbon. It has pretty good control, though smashes are returned by opponents. Looping is a breeze (although I rely mostly on smashes and started learning looping with this rubber).

I still need to perfect my loops as the balls are returned by opponents, but usually as a lob. So it takes mostly two strokes to finish. It is slightly heavier than Flextra, so sometimes I feel more drag on the FH. It would be really good if BTY could make this as light as Flextra. The heaviness is the reason why I went for Flextra on the BH. Otherwise, I would have gone with Tackifire Soft itself. Thanks to BTY.

This rubber is suitable for chopping with sufficient speed for counterattacks.

I use this rubber for my forehand and I must say it’s a very controllable rubber with good spin. It’s not the fastest rubber, but it’s fast enough to finish points. It’s worth the price. Also, you should pair it with a harder blade.

The speed is significantly lower than the speed of the Palio CJ 8000 Biotech 39-41. The catapult effect is very low, therefore the control is very good. For forehand, it’s in my opinion only a rubber for lower-class players or beginners.

Excellent control-oriented tacky rubber from BTY. It’s not as tacky as Chinese rubbers, but its soft sponge and tacky topsheet give it nice spin generation. With a fast blade, it offers decent speed. It provides very nice all-around control and is just a very good all-around rubber with enough power to finish points.

I use this rubber for my backhand, and my chops have improved significantly. I particularly appreciate its control during blocks and attacking shots. While it’s not excessively fast, it strikes a good balance for intermediate players like myself. I highly recommend this rubber.

Great spin and control are provided by this rubber. It has a pleasantly tacky feel to the touch. Although not as fast as most of the rubbers I’ve used, it still offers decent speed.

This rubber boasts versatility, producing excellent spin with controlled pace. While not exceptionally fast or slow, it has a balanced speed. I’ve used the 2.1 mm thickness on my backhand for seven months, experiencing remarkable consistency. Looping backspin shots is effortless, showcasing this rubber’s prowess in spin creation.

However, looping sidespin serves requires more precision due to a slightly high throw angle. Overall, this rubber is ideal for players seeking a balance of speed and potent spin capabilities.

This is a very good allround or off- rubber. I currently use this on my backhand side with 1.7mm thickness and it allows me to chop, drive, serve, and has great control and touch. I suggest this rubber to a person who is not an all-out attacker, such as a player like off or off-, and I would also suggest this to an allround player.

PROS:

  • Generates exceptional spin, making it suitable for both forehand and backhand play.
  • Offers excellent control, allowing precise shot placement.
  • Boasts remarkable durability, extending its lifespan.

CONS:

  • Durability does not equate to sustained effectiveness.
  • Requires frequent cleaning with Rushawa Foam Cleaner to maintain optimal performance.
  • Relatively heavy and slightly sluggish, potentially affecting speed and responsiveness.

A very good rubber. It provides great spin, great speed, and good control.

This was a strange rubber to use. At first, I was really confused as to where the spin comes from because this rubber is not tacky like Chinese rubbers (which I most often use), but it still produced great spin. After exploring Butterfly, I concluded that the spin comes largely from the dwell time of the ball on the rubber.

This rubber has great spin and control. It has a comfortable speed – not too fast, not too slow. Tackifire Special-Soft is a good rubber for anyone to have.

It’s not really all that great for any specific kind of shot, but I think the beauty of this rubber is in its versatility. Loopers, allround attackers, counterdrivers, basically anyone with a more offensively-oriented style can make good use of this rubber.

Probably my favorite forehand rubber that I’ve used, though the price is a bit steep, and it’s a little heavy (I prefer light rubbers). It performs well with all strokes.
