I am a third ball attacker with a loop and using RITC 729 40S on my forehand. It gives me excellent loop and almost 80% of opponents can’t return the ball.

However, this rubber is not ideal for my forehand. It can’t generate good spin in top spin and even medium or beginners can return the ball.

This rubber is ideal for drive and shots during the rally. However, it can easily lift the ball for a top spin. Tackiness is too low and is soft rubber, which can easily return opponents speedy top spins.

Ample speed and control. The tackiness is just below some Chinese tacky rubbers. This is a very good rubber to start developing your offensive potential.

Blade Yeo Power 7

The BH is Battle 1 and FH is a 2.2 mm red sheet of Faster Feiighun.

Cons

  • Comes in 2.2 mm only (not 2.1 mm)

Pros

  • Approximately 44 gm cut size for blade
  • Great round-the-net play
  • Xtreme spinny serves
  • Excellent looping with great technique
  • Easy to play with

After Boosted (3 layers of Xtreme Booster)

  • Weight increased to 46 gm
  • Sponge became more reactive
  • Speed increased by 30%
  • Spin increased by 30%
  • Very durable
  • Xtreme Booster has a positive effect on the Transcend sponge and Battle 2 orange sponge

Other Observations

  • Chopping on top spins is easy with this rubber.
  • This rubber will be my backup rubber on FH because it’s too heavy for BH (40-44 gm preferred for BH).
  • It is more responsive and slightly faster in rallies than Battle 2.
  • It is better than Battle 2 far away from the table.

The fastest 729 rubber of all! Surprisingly light despite its hard, light green 2.2 sponge (red rubber).

I will compare Faster with Battle 2. Battle 2 is superb, of course, and tackier, but Faster is “kind of lethal” and slightly faster, lighter, and also tacky/spinny enough. The evaluation has to focus on the adaptation to ABS balls and win ratio.

Very good for both backhand and forehand. I have always used it for forehand. It is so fast and quick to attack. The sound is good. It is also good for service, with a lot of spin in service. Value for price.

It was my first rubber on a preassembled racket. It is good for players who are improving their techniques. It provides good control, good spin, fast enough speed, high throw angle, more than average gears and is durable. It works better on stiff blades.

So far, I’ve tried DHS Hurricane 3 provincial and national versions (both blue and orange sponges), NEO Hurricane 3 commercial, Skyline TG 2 & 3, etc. The Friendship 729 ‘Faster’ rubber has characteristics similar to the abovementioned rubbers. It may have slightly less power and spin, but not by much. I highly recommend you try this rubber for FH or even BH; it works perfectly for me. I use these on both sides of a RITC Friendship V-5 blade and am very pleased with the results. As with any Chinese rubber, make sure you have a sponge and rubber cleaner, as you need to keep it constantly clean.

Definitely a great FH rubber if you like Chinese ones. It’s a little bit heavy; the sponge gives a hard feeling, and the rubber is tacky. You can put lots of spin on service or top spin. No tensor effect, but without speed glue or booster, this rubber has sufficient speed for me. If you are really good and use tensors, perhaps you will need to boost this one. Control is great on short games. For me, it is a 999T with more speed, very close to an H3 neo. (FYI, I oil boost all my hard-sponge Chinese rubbers.)

Awesome and superb rubber! It is cheap and offers great value for your money. I love this rubber so much that I use it for both my forehand (FH) and backhand (BH) shots. It is definitely an attacking rubber and may not be suitable for beginners. However, it is my favorite lethal weapon, and I do not hesitate to use it for attacking or hitting killer shots.

#10 — February 2012

That’s why this rubber is named faster. However, I don’t like the spin produced by this rubber.

#11 — December 2011

This is a cheap and really fast rubber. I’m using it on my forehand. Honestly, it lacks spin, but it’s good for offensive players.

#12 — August 2011

Very tacky, cheap and durable! The green sponge is also very nice. Slow loop is a monster!

#13 — December 2010

This rubber is a good choice for beginners, but it does not offer the same level of performance as more advanced rubbers.

#14 — October 2010

This is the best rubber because it is very fast and very spinny. It is a great choice for offensive players looking for maximum speed and spin.

#15 — August 2010

When I execute a loop with this rubber, it is somewhat inconsistent in reaching the other side of the table. It definitely needs more control.

On the other hand, it performs quite well when serving.

#16 — July 2010

I put two sheets of this rubber in 2.2mm thickness on a Stiga Carbotech blade (from Stiga’s made-up bat range).

It was very spinny, and both sides held their tackiness well. It also had good control.

However, it lacked in the speed department. This makes it good for a close-to-the-table all-spin game.

It’s not an offensive rubber; it’s more all+. It was too slow for me.

#17 — June 2009

Very heavy tacky rubber with great speed but poor control with 2.2mm thickness. 2.0mm is a much better choice, offering good control (8) with slightly less speed. Spin is adequate but not as high as that of the Higher Transcend sponge.

This rubber is very offensive in nature.

#18 — Long Time Ago...

Classic Chinese rubber. It is a little bit faster than Higher 1.
