The Tibhar Dang features a tacky surface that generates exceptional grip and allows for a wide range of spin techniques. Players can execute both powerful topspins and tricky serves with ease. The 8.9 sponge hardness contributes to the rubber's responsiveness, enabling rapid acceleration and explosive shots.

Despite its attacking nature, Tibhar Dang maintains good control properties. The 6.6 control rating reflects the rubber's ability to deliver consistent and accurate shots, allowing players to maintain stability during intense rallies.

With a gears rating of 4, the Tibhar Dang offers versatility in playing style. It enables players to transition seamlessly between aggressive and defensive strokes, making it suitable for a variety of playing styles and tactical approaches.

The throw angle of 5.3 provides a relatively low trajectory, allowing players to keep the ball close to the table and create sharp angles. This characteristic enhances the rubber's effectiveness for fast-paced, counter-attacking play.

In terms of consistency and durability, the Tibhar Dang scores a 9 and a 6.6, respectively. The high consistency rating ensures reliable performance and shot accuracy, while the moderate durability rating suggests that the rubber may require periodic replacement to maintain optimal playing characteristics.

Positive Points:

  • Excellent for serves
  • Capable of producing slow, low-arc backhand topspins with surprising spin
  • Better performance in flat hits and smashes compared to other Chinese rubbers tested

Negative Points:

  • Sensitive to spin (unusual for a tacky Chinese rubber)
  • Not recommended for returns
  • Limited high-gear capabilities in forehand or backhand topspins
  • Blocks can be difficult to control
  • High price tag for an outdated and unconventional rubber

Recommendation:

Only purchase this rubber if you are interested in experimenting with unusual and unconventional playing styles. It may not be suitable for those seeking high performance or consistent results.

Review of Table Tennis Rubber

This rubber is characterized by its hardness, heaviness, and slowness, which results in poor control. I can’t identify a specific audience that would benefit from using this rubber.

As per the new site policy, I have adjusted the ratings accordingly. However, I maintain my opinion that this rubber is not suitable for most players. It might potentially be useful if used with heavy speedglue.

There are numerous Chinese-style rubbers available that offer better performance at a more affordable price.

The rubber has a great amount of tackiness, which is ideal for generating backspin. I particularly enjoy using it for backhand topspins. However, it is important to note that the price is slightly higher compared to other Chinese rubbers in the market.
