I have tried many rubbers on my BH, which is my weaker side. My main BH strategy is spiny openers, placement blocks, and hard loop drives on opportunity balls. I feel the MK PRO is the first rubber that I’ve found that supports my backhand technique without breaking the bank (Dignics 09C). The control to spin ratio is great on this rubber, and I feel confident on 3rd ball attacking and confusing the rally through well-placed blocks.
I think that in terms of characteristics, the MK PRO is not a hybrid rubber; the only thing that sticks to the top sheet would be protective film. However, the top sheet is grippy and definitely generates a ton of spin. My practice partners often block out when I catch the ball well. I think the strength of the rubber is its stability in a large variety of shots. It feels pretty effortless to play short, block incoming attacks, and put pressure on your opponent. I think I notice this stability most in quick, close-to-table exchanges or hard loop drives far from the table when you’re trying to come back in. This allows me to have confidence in all aspects of the game, which is great on my weaker side.
مطاط هجين رائع… ولكن اللاصقية تتلاشى بسرعة.
This is a fast rubber with good low arc attacking spin and hard flat hitting and killing.
I found it had less control than I was expecting and was more difficult to vary spin and arc in comparison to the previous rubber.
Very good spin, dwell time, and control. Good power with a feeling not too hard for a 51 Grad rubber.
The best Tibhar rubber I have ever played with. I combined it with a Donic Off+.
Thank you, Table Tennis.com!
Harder than the standard MK Hybrid.
PROS:
CONS:
Highly recommend this rubber for offensive players because it will allow you to stay in the rally longer due to its consistency.
Good rubber, long dwell time. Good service and short game. It’s probably like MXP but with a softer topsheet. It is not tacky at all, so I would not call it a hybrid rubber.
I would not recommend this rubber to anyone over T05 or MXP or Rakza 7 or whatever. While Dignics and K3 all have reasons that make them a better option, this one is overpriced and simply the same old shirt.
I played with these rubbers for the first time and I am very satisfied.
Tried it on an Innerforce.S blade.
Gives a decent response; however, I did not find it particularly fast.
It is decent on the short pushes and jabs. Drives are just about OK.
The Hybrid MK Pro rubber continues the series of “hybrid” rubbers started by the Hybrid K1 model. It carries the name of Kentaro Matsudaira, the 2006 junior world champion and the 9th ranked player in the world in 2017. Tibhar also releases another rubber in his name - the MK, without the Pro prefix. The Hybrid MK Pro has a medium-hard sponge, a pleasant purple color, and a thin topsheet with narrow and short pimples. It is unclear, however, why this rubber is named a “hybrid.” The topsheet does not have any stickiness, and it is completely different from the early Tibhar “hybrids” which truly had Chinese rubber.
The MK Pro square weighs 69g. (For comparison, the Evolution MX-D square weighs 75g.) I tested this rubber on a Harimoto Super ZLC blade - fast and moderately stiff. Short game, serves, near-table topspins, and blocks - all these elements are performed excellently. It is particularly effective at producing heavy backspin. The thin topsheet wraps around the ball, giving it strong spin. I believe that even Matsudaira himself could easily execute his famous “tomahawk” serve with this rubber. The speed of the rubber is relatively low, noticeably less than the aforementioned MX-D. The rubber allows for excellent ball control, but the MK Pro is difficult to use for fast, powerful shots. It should be noted that the MK Pro initially comes without a booster. Probably, using a booster could liven up this rubber and make it faster. Consequently, the lack of speed hinders an active, powerful game from the second and especially the third zone. The overall conclusion is that this rubber is best suited for players with a versatile style, playing close to the table and basing their game on spins.
