Given the name “Quantum X PRO Green,” this table tennis rubber is likely an inverted rubber designed for offensive players seeking a balance of speed, spin, and control. The “PRO” designation suggests it’s a higher-end rubber aimed at intermediate to advanced players. The “Green” likely refers to the sponge color, which doesn’t necessarily indicate specific playing characteristics but could be a marketing differentiator. Based on similar naming conventions in the table tennis market, the Quantum X PRO Green probably offers a good level of grip for generating spin on serves, pushes, and loops. It likely provides a lively feel on impact, allowing for powerful shots close to the table and from mid-distance. We can expect a medium-high throw angle, making it easier to clear the net when looping.
While the exact sponge hardness is unknown without further information, it’s reasonable to assume it falls within the medium-hard to hard range (around 45-50 degrees on the Shore A scale). This hardness would contribute to the rubber’s speed and power potential. The rubber is likely suited for an all-around offensive player who likes to attack with both spin and speed. It could be a good choice for players who loop drive, counter-loop, and block aggressively. Without specific details about special features or technologies, it’s safe to assume the rubber utilizes modern sponge and topsheet formulations to enhance grip, durability, and energy transfer. It’s likely designed to be compatible with both plastic and celluloid balls.
After a year and a half of playing with the Darker Speed 90 purple 2.0 on the left, which I was very satisfied with, as soon as the green one appeared, I immediately bought the 2.0. It turned out to be much harder (41 sponge instead of 37 on the purple one, the measuring instrument is available) and more aggressive. Couldn’t handle it. Ordered the 1.8 - excellent speed and control! Tibhar is the only one that indicates different parameters for red/black (speed 125) and colored (115 not soft), but the colored ones are very different as well. The blue 2.0 - pure sole.
Great affordable rubber.
Great for backhand if you are used to hybrid or Chinese rubbers for your forehand.
It’s fast, so you have to be a bit fit to keep up with it. Despite its speed, it still carries a good amount of spin.
