Yasaka Rakza X Soft

Rubber description:

Yasaka Rakza X Soft is a highly regarded table tennis rubber designed for players who prioritize control and spin over raw speed and power. This rubber incorporates a medium-soft sponge hardness of 42.5 degrees, which allows players to execute effective shots while maintaining a good touch and sensitivity. It scores well on various metrics, with a speed rating of 8 and an impressive spin rating of 9, making it a versatile option for both forehand and backhand strokes.

In terms of tackiness, the Rakza X Soft registers at 1.5, indicating a subtle grip that aids in spin generation without being excessively sticky. This balance makes it adept for players who enjoy producing heavy topspin shots while still being able to control the trajectory and placement of their strikes. The rubber’s throw angle is rated at 5.5, suggesting that it offers a relatively low arc, which can benefit players looking to play aggressively at the table.

The weight of the Yasaka Rakza X Soft is considered medium, approximately 4.4 out of 5, so it is not the lightest option on the market, but many players find the added heft contributes positively to the overall momentum during play. Durability is a notable strength, with a rating of 7.6, ensuring that players can rely on it for consistent performance over time.

For those seeking alternatives, the Rakza X Soft can be compared to other models in the Rakza series, such as the Rakza 7 Soft, which offers a slightly different feel. Additionally, players may consider rubbers like Butterfly Tenergy or DHS Hurricane series for different properties and performance characteristics. Overall, Yasaka Rakza X Soft shines as a reliable choice for technical players seeking a blend of spin, control, and durability.

Very good rubber. Generates powerful shots with medium effort. However, at maximum effort, it loses control. I have used Rakzas 7, 7 Soft, and 9. I have adapted very well to Rakza X Soft on my forehand.

It’s a good rubber, fast with good control and you can generate much spin. It’s not for beginners because it has a strong catapult when you play topspin. It’s more for intermediate players that want a medium-soft rubber with good dynamic.

It is not a bad rubber. It is not designed for power and speed. Players who have good technical skills to place the ball around the table can benefit from it. It is durable and has a nice sound. It feels soft and is nice for openings and lifting low balls. It is not too heavy, making it an overall nice and controlled rubber for technical players.
