Great rubber for backhand (BH). I think it is the best rubber for BH that I have ever tried. It is fast, yet very controllable; spinny but linear. It is soft and light in weight. My BH play has improved substantially with this rubber; attacking, blocking, and flipping became simple with Xtend HS. You must try it.

Speed is fast, but spin is poor. Control is average. The sponge feels soft, but durability is not good. Looping is great on a high-flex blade and really fast on a stiff off+ rated blade. However, spin is the same on both blades.

Not my favorite. I was expecting more speed and less spin.

I just replaced Yasaka Fusion with Xtend HS on my backhand. Xtend is noticeably faster, which is what I was after.

It blocks okay, although it can react to spin and speed, so it’s more like an attacking rubber when close. Step back one step, and you have really good control.

It has good hitting power and is pretty good at picking the ball up for a backhand topspin, including soft loops.

The advertising talks about a special sound it makes, and they are not exaggerating. It actually does make a very satisfying “wok!” sound when you give it some force.

This was the first day, so perhaps it will change over time, but so far, it has been a nice step up from the defensive style of Fusion, into a more attacking, fun rubber.

Low throw angle and good rebound make this a true close-to-the-table rubber.

It makes a slap sound to a flat hit but needs real work away from the table.

Counter-hitting needs control, but counter-looping and early third-ball attack are a dream.

The ball loads up with top spin, but again, away from the table needs too much work.

If you prefer to stay close, this is a treat.

Great looping and countering rubber with an excellent feel for the ball due to its softer sponge. It produces a loud “click” with hard-hit balls. Despite its high power, it maintains easy control. Speed and spin are exceptional. It makes an excellent forehand or backhand rubber. Even with maximum thickness, it offers a lot of forgiveness on off-center shots. It is an ideal step-up for Mark V users.

The rubber is fast and spiny, but it can be difficult to control. The 2.0 thickness is best suited for close-to-the-table attacking and blocking, while the 2.2 thickness is better for mid-distance control.

Looping with this rubber is challenging, but it can be done by relaxing the wrist and making a quick motion. A close-to-the-table loop with X tend HS (2.0) should be a kill-shot every time.

I don’t know how they did it, but the rubber feels muddy if you counter or block the ball. It is the best rubber I have ever used for my backhand.

If you predominantly use your backhand for first loops and fast blocks, this is the right rubber for you. The control is great, and the spin and speed are good but not the rubber’s strongest aspects. Many exceptional players attempt to break through my backhand but fail. The blocks are fast with excellent control. Definitely consider this exceptional backhand rubber.

However, I do not use this rubber on my forehand because I find the sponge too soft.

This rubber is not suitable for beginners. It is hard and bouncy, making it unsuitable for looping. However, its speed and durability are both above average. Blocking with this rubber is effective. It pairs well with wooden blades.

One of the better ESNs, but there are some known problems with it. The spin is not that good, and the speed is quite okay but also not very fast. A great advantage is the control in every kind of situation. A big problem was to serve with a lot of spin.

Summarized, I would say it is a good rubber for controlled offensive play. Because of the lot of catapult, it is very good for controlled block and loops with average spin and speed.

This rubber is a bit faster than Mark 5 with almost the same spin. It has a very nice feel and is softer than Mark 5. It is not very fast, but it is still a good rubber, especially for hitters and loopers.
