Yinhe Big Dipper Pro

Rubber description:

The Big Dipper Pro is an inverted table tennis rubber designed for players seeking a balanced blend of speed, spin, and control. While the manufacturer remains unknown, the “Pro” designation suggests a performance-oriented rubber aimed at intermediate to advanced players. Its playing characteristics lean towards an offensive style, offering good speed for aggressive attacks and a high degree of spin generation for looping and serving. Control is also a key feature, allowing for precise placement and consistent blocking. The rubber’s surface likely provides a good grip, enabling players to impart significant rotation on the ball.

Based on the name and expected performance, the Big Dipper Pro likely features a medium-hard sponge, probably around 45-48 degrees on the European scale. This hardness would contribute to its balanced nature, offering sufficient power for offensive shots while maintaining a reasonable level of feel for short game and defensive play. While specific technologies are unknown due to the lack of brand information, it’s possible the rubber incorporates features like a tensioned topsheet for enhanced elasticity and spin, or a specially formulated sponge for improved energy transfer. This rubber is ideally suited for all-around attackers who want a versatile rubber that can handle a variety of situations, from opening loops to counter-driving and blocking.

Not what I expected. Compared to H3, TG2, TG3, and BS… much softer top sheet and sponge. Tack similar but less than DHS. Good spin and speed. Easier to generate than DHS but less penetrating. Seems durable. Initially, bought for forehand but seems to suit better for backhand. Arc is medium and predictable.
