Butterfly SK Carbon
Blade description:
This blade features a 3+2 construction, utilizing three wood plies reinforced with two layers of TAMCA 5000 carbon. Due to its lightweight profile and specific composition, it is generally categorized as an Offensive- or Allround+ blade. Players may find the blade provides high maneuverability, making it well-suited for close-to-the-table play, particularly for those using long pips or anti-spin rubbers.
Handling and Physical Characteristics
- Handle Design: The straight handle is notably thin and short, which may be advantageous for players with smaller hands or those who frequently perform racket twiddling.
- Physical Feel: The blade has a very thin overall profile. Users report varying experiences regarding consistency and feedback, with performance often heavily dependent on the chosen rubber pairings.
Performance Considerations
- Tactical Application: The blade excels in proximity to the table, though it may lack the raw power required for effective play from mid-to-long distance.
- Pairing Dynamics: Results vary significantly depending on the rubber selection. Harder, high-tension rubbers can provide a more aggressive output, while certain medium-tension rubbers may prioritize different aspects of control depending on the player’s skill level. It is frequently noted as an accessible option for developing players looking to refine their stroke mechanics.

This is a lightweight, fiber-reinforced blade constructed with 3+2 plies (3 wood, 2 TAMCA 5000 carbon). I would classify it as an Offensive(-) or Allround(+) blade.
It offers good control, especially close to the table. However, it might lack power from a distance.
The straight handle is quite small and thin, making it suitable for players with small hands. It also provides very good handling and twiddling.
I believe this is an excellent blade for players using anti-spin rubber or long pips close to the table. It works well with the OX version of pips.

Great blade! With hard rubbers, the MXP is flashing.
