Probably the top blade for RPB (reverse penhold backhand) play, but it’s only suitable for that specific grip. Using a traditional backhand with this blade is difficult due to its trajectory. It’s not the easiest blade to use, but it’s more powerful than pure wood blades like the OFFENSIVE CLASS (OC) but not as powerful as Arylate-Carbon (ALC) blades. As a result, you can’t use full strength and expect good control like you can with pure wood blades, nor can you rely on passive strokes and the carbon layers like you can with ALC blades.
This blade is designed for RPB, specifically for continuous looping on both wings, as used by Wang Hao. Its sibling, the Hurricane King, is more suited for big, powerful forehand shots, as used by Wang Liqin.
I would recommend this blade for players with very offensive tactics in service receive and attack. It also requires a physically fit player as it demands power to perform well. If you prioritize control, then the YEO blade might be a better option.
Additionally, this blade’s trajectory is relatively high, so you will need to loop most of the time, unless you are very close to the table.
I find it strange that this blade has no reviews.
However, when I check other websites, it is said to be one of the most popular penhold blades.
I’m not sure what the difference is between this blade and the Hurricane Hao 656, but I like this blade.
I asked TT11 to lacquer the blade.
I put Nittaku Fastarc G-1 as forehand rubber
and Victas V01 Stiff as backhand rubber.
I love the control on forehand. You can produce great spins with decent speed.
I have difficulty in short pushes, though this is probably because I need to adjust my technique.
The best part of this blade is the consistency with the backhand. It feels good.
The part I didn’t like is that there are vibrations in the handle when I push the ball short.
