I bought this J-pen over a year ago and it has a really nice hinoki feel. For the price, it’s a very good blade, especially if you’re looking for Hinoki wood.

Blocking with it is amazing, driving the ball is just as easy as chewing gum, and you have good control in the short game as well. With DHS G666 or H3 provincial rubber, you’ll have your opponents going nuts when you start looping with this blade.

I would say it’s not as good as the Darker 90 because it has less dwell time, but the price isn’t the same either. For what you pay, you get something amazing.

To all J-pen users who don’t want to spend too much, this is a great choice.
