Blade description:

The Nittaku Ludeack is a highly regarded table tennis blade, celebrated for its exceptional blend of control, feel, and performance. This 7-ply composition features a combination of Limba and Ayous woods, delivering an ideal balance of speed and touch. With a speed rating of 8.5, it is categorized as a low-to-mid OFF- blade, which makes it suitable for players seeking an aggressive style without sacrificing precision. The blade’s design emphasizes crisp ball contact and a generous dwell time, allowing for spin generation and excellent ball arc, particularly during forehand loops against heavy backspin.

Weighing in at around 85g and with a thickness of approximately 6.5mm, the Ludeack boasts a medium weight that provides a solid feel in hand without being cumbersome. The blade’s medium stiffness, rated at 4.9, and a hardness of 5.6 contribute to its balanced playstyle, ensuring that players can maintain control during quick exchanges and maintain power when necessary. The well-distributed weight allows for comfortable maneuverability, making it a favorite among players with medium to large hands, aided further by the flared handle.

In terms of alternatives, players seeking similar characteristics might consider blades like the Stiga Offensive Classic or the Petr Korbel. However, the Nittaku Ludeack uniquely combines exceptional control with the ability to deliver offensive shots, making it a top choice for serious players looking to elevate their game. The craftsmanship and quality of materials are on par with other premium brands, ensuring that each blade not only performs well but also stands the test of time.

My absolute favorite blade from Nittaku, even better than Acoustic. It can be really quick with the right rubbers. This quality is fantastic. It is very, very spinny with the new Hybrids.

Simply amazing. Great feeling and control, great for Short pips on the backhand.

It’s my first real blade, coupled with Hurricane Pro 3 and Turbo Orange (Nittaku). I can’t really compare it to others, but I’ve been able to progress to a lower intermediate level quite quickly with it due to its great control. Now, I feel it’s a little slow and will probably use some faster rubbers like G-1 Fastarc and Rasanter R42. I’d definitely recommend it to a serious beginner who could use it throughout their career.
