Stiga Energy WRB V2

All-wood

I’ve been playing for 30 years, but I’m coming from a carbon wood which was difficult to control when in a bad day. I love playing with spin and I do all I want with this Stiga. Defense, loops, smash, blocks… And I’m producing a lot of spin with my Rakza’s.

Although I love playing with spin, this isn’t a pure offensive wood. Depending on the rubbers used, it is versatile and can do anything.

My second blade, after coming from a carbon one, is wooden. It is much more suitable for late beginners or intermediate players like me. It offers more dwell time, is less stiff, and provides better control.

At one point, I felt like it might be too heavy for me to lift underspin with a backhand flick. However, that was due to my poor technique, as I was using only my wrist instead of my whole body or forearm.

After trying a much lighter blade, I came back to this one because I appreciate its weight, stability, and control. The speed is just right for me—not too fast or uncontrollable, but powerful enough to finish points. I don’t think it has too much vibration, but I don’t find that necessary. It is a well-balanced, good-quality blade.

Both looping and short touches feel easy. I would recommend it as a first blade, and I’ll probably use this blade for as long as I play because it suits me well and I’m accustomed to it.

Excellent Blade. This is my second real blade. After hours of usage, it still feels light to me. I don’t have a measurement tool, but it is light in my hand. Maybe my first blade was too heavy.

Nice pop! Nice sound during splashing.

For beginners, this blade offers little to no speed, far too slow for me.

I played with the V1 before and there was no comparison. With this blade, it feels like the ball is made of lead.

My blade weighs 97g and is very head-heavy with rubbers. The handle is too thin for me. I prefer the Legend handle, but it is no longer available. The speed is in the OFF range, and the control is good.
