Blade description:

The Stiga Legacy Carbon 12k blade is a high-performance table tennis blade designed for aggressive players seeking speed and control. This blade features a unique composition that combines both wood and carbon materials to create an impressive seven-ply structure. The integration of carbon fibers offers additional stiffness and responsiveness, making it a go-to choice for competitive players looking to elevate their game.

With a weight of approximately 88 grams, the Stiga Legacy Carbon 12k strikes a balance between being lightweight and substantial enough for solid ball control. This medium weight, paired with a relatively thick profile, contributes to its stiff construction, yielding a stiffness rating of 8.4 on the scale. It provides players with a crisp, powerful feel, enhancing the precision and speed of each stroke. However, because it is stiffer, some players may find it less forgiving in touch-sensitive situations compared to more flexible blades.

In terms of performance, this blade has garnered praise for its exceptional speed rating of 9.5, making it likely one of the fastest offerings from Stiga. The control rating of 8.1 indicates that despite its speed, players can still achieve a high degree of accuracy and placement. Those seeking alternatives to the Stiga Legacy Carbon 12k might consider blades like the Carbonado 190, Tibhar Evolution, or the popular Boll ALC for a different playing experience while still retaining speed and responsiveness. Overall, the Legacy Carbon 12k is an excellent choice for offensive players wanting a lightweight yet powerful blade that can streamline their gameplay and provide an edge over opponents.

WOWWW! Stiga has leveled up their game! This blade fits with the new DNA rubbers, complementing the new Stiga DNA series. I use DNA PLAT XH (2.3mm, black) on FH and D09C (2.1mm, red) on BH.

I am considering transitioning from D09C on BH to a STIGA rubber and have received a recommendation for DNA Dragon Grip. Are there any other suggestions?

Returning to the blade review, this energy legacy carbon blade is fast. Paired with the PLAT XH on FH, it has significantly improved my FH performance.

In comparison to Boll ALC, FH topspin is easier to execute than backspin with this blade, as the ball accelerates off the blade upon impact.

For BH, D09C, which is typically characterized by its grip and slow speed, has been transformed by this blade. It now offers excellent control, increased speed, and a secure high arm. The added speed makes it more challenging for opponents to react.

Similar to Boll ALC, this blade is difficult to block. I hope this review proves helpful. Keep on ponging, guys!

I was trying it from a friend playing for 2 hours, with Tenergys. What I can say is just that it’s a bad blade. It’s too stiff and I can’t feel the ball. It’s heavy, feels like playing with a stiff piece of furniture without any characteristics. The fingers area needs to be adjusted or it will cut your skin.
