Composite/carbon
WOWWW! Stiga has leveled up their game! This blade fits with the new DNA rubbers, complementing the new Stiga DNA series. I use DNA PLAT XH (2.3mm, black) on FH and D09C (2.1mm, red) on BH.
I am considering transitioning from D09C on BH to a STIGA rubber and have received a recommendation for DNA Dragon Grip. Are there any other suggestions?
Returning to the blade review, this Energy Legacy Carbon blade is fast. Paired with the PLAT XH on FH, it has significantly improved my FH performance.
In comparison to Boll ALC, FH topspin is easier to execute than backspin with this blade, as the ball accelerates off the blade upon impact.
For BH, D09C, which is typically characterized by its grip and slow speed, has been transformed by this blade. It now offers excellent control, increased speed, and a secure high arm. The added speed makes it more challenging for opponents to react.
Similar to Boll ALC, this blade is difficult to block. I hope this review proves helpful. Keep on ponging, guys!
I was trying it from a friend playing for 2 hours, with Tenergys. What I can say is just that it’s a bad blade. It’s too stiff and I can’t feel the ball. It’s heavy, feels like playing with a stiff piece of furniture without any characteristics. The fingers area needs to be adjusted or it will cut your skin.
10/10.
What a wonderful creation by Stiga! Fantastic looks aside (I love the all-black color), this blade performs surprisingly well! I pair this blade with Sieger PK50 for FH and Fastarc C1 for BH. The blade just feels fantastic, providing ample power and speed, along with plenty of spin. I adore it!
This blade is simply magnificent. It is perfectly balanced and provides excellent control and power, making it suitable for a wide range of playing styles. The blade is constructed from high-quality materials, ensuring durability and longevity. It is also lightweight, which reduces fatigue during extended play. Overall, this blade is an excellent choice for players of all skill levels.
Wanting to return to my first love, I purchased a blade that I could relearn my strokes. I think it was a Joola model (about 100.00 US). I practiced for about a month and decided to upgrade. I purchased Stiga CC7. I am an attacker, therefore I wanted a fast blade. The rubbers I used are Stiga’s Airoc Astro M. Really fast blade but little feel.
So continuing to find THE blade, I purchased the Stiga Carbo 7.6, with Tibar Evolution MX-P50 rubbers. Faster with a little more control. But still wanted faster/control. Enter Legacy Carbon, with Donic Bluestorm Z1 Max 2.3 both sides. WOW!!! I am now trying to learn what this BEAST is capable of. Definitely the fastest blade I have ever played with. Thank you Stiga!!!.
Thank you Stiga for making this premium and high-class blade in black with black tags. I love its look and presentation.
Performance-wise, I was previously playing with Carbonado 190 and compared it to Timo Boll ALC and ZLC. It is faster than all three blades. It gives a Stiga feeling similar to Carbonado 190 but with slightly less feeling. My drives, blocks, and even chops have more speed now. Blocking is easy with this blade.
Despite its speed, the blade allows for an easy-to-play short game. Chops, serves, and drives are more spinny than with Carbonado 190. I chose this blade because I needed more speed in my shots to put pressure on my opponent, and it is definitely doing that. It is a bit faster than Timo Boll ZLC, and its overall legacy is also better than Timo Boll ZLC and ALC.
As a player who prefers harder and stiffer blades, this one is definitely for me. Paired with my DNA PLATINUM XH on FH, it is fast.
