Tibhar VS Unlimited
Blade description:
This composite blade utilizes a 5+2 construction, featuring an outer ply of Limba paired with Arylate Carbon layers. By opting for Limba instead of the more traditional Koto, the blade offers a softer, more nuanced touch while maintaining the inherent hardness and power associated with composite structures. It serves as a middle ground between inner-fiber blades and classic outer-carbon designs, resulting in a versatile profile that excels in both close-to-the-table exchanges and mid-to-far distance rallies.
Playing Characteristics
- Speed and Control: The blade provides a balanced performance profile, offering significant speed for aggressive attacking while retaining enough touch for delicate short-game shots. It is capable of generating consistent power from multiple zones, allowing for a wide range of rotational attacks.
- Feel and Feedback: Thanks to the Limba outer plies, the blade produces a feel that is distinct from standard stiff carbon blades, providing better feedback during stroke execution. It is noted for its lack of disruptive vibrations, ensuring a stable impact feel during high-intensity play.
- Versatility: The design supports a variety of playing styles, particularly for players who emphasize varied spin-based attacks. While it is highly capable in the offensive transition, it performs best when executing open-angle attacks rather than rapid, flat blocks or aggressive, high-speed captures above the table.
Physical Attributes
- Build Quality: The blade features high-quality craftsmanship with a comfortable, well-proportioned handle design.
- Weight: It is engineered with a professional-standard weight distribution, making it agile and manageable during prolonged sessions.
- Compatibility: The blade pairs effectively with a variety of modern high-tension rubbers, particularly those from the Evolution or K3 series, which allow users to maximize its speed and spin potential.

An interesting product from Tibhar, the outer ALC blade features Limba as the first ply, which is quite unusual. Most outer ALC blades, like the Viscaria, have a koto outer ply. Though Limba is softer, the blade is overall harder than an inner blade.
The VSU occupies a middle ground between the Viscaria and an Innerforce, offering a balance of control and speed. It’s versatile, but aimed at advanced players rather than beginners.
The AN handle provides comfort. The finish is good, similar to JC but less polished than Fortino Pro. The accompanying box is somewhat lacking considering the price point.
For rubbers, I recommend a K3 on the forehand and an Evolution series rubber on the backhand (MX-D, MX-P, or EL-P would be suitable), or Quantum X pro. Alternatively, Victas V>22 can be used on both sides with great results.

Good blade. It’s fast and balanced in a way I don’t prefer, but I can still play well with it.

Not too fast, but of top quality.
