Xiom AJH TMXi Pro
Blade description:
The Xiom AJH TMXi Pro is a high-performance composite blade featuring an inner-fiber construction that combines both ALC and ZLC characteristics. Designed with a slightly oversized head (160×152mm), it offers a blend of stability, dwell time, and speed, making it a versatile option for players who prefer a linear playing style.
Key Characteristics
- Construction: Inner-fiber composite (3+2 construction) utilizing a hybrid of ALC and ZLC.
- Performance: Known for a very linear response, providing consistent feedback that translates the player’s input directly into the shot. It bridges the gap between traditional inner-carbon stability and the crisp, fast release often found in outer-composite blades.
- Feel and Dwell: The inner-fiber placement and larger head size provide excellent ball-holding capabilities and dwell time, which assists with spin generation and touch in the short game.
- Speed and Power: The blade offers a high gear for offensive play, capable of producing powerful shots away from the table. However, it remains demanding, requiring active, high-quality footwork and stroke technique to maximize its potential.
Handling and Build
- Handle and Balance: The handle is frequently noted for its comfortable ergonomics and high-quality finish. Due to the larger blade face, some users may find the overall weight distribution to be slightly head-heavy, which can influence maneuverability during rapid transitions.
- Weight Variance: The blade exhibits significant weight variation between individual units. Users should be aware that weight differences can impact the overall feel, speed, and stiffness of the blade.
- Suitability: Because of its demanding nature and need for consistent, active input, it is best suited for intermediate to advanced players rather than novices. It is widely considered a balanced, stable alternative to traditional professional-level blades like the W968 or Butterfly Viscaria.

This is a great blade. Powerful and easy to control.

Easier to control than Viscaria/FZD ALC but stiffer/faster than your typical inner carbon blade, think Harimoto ALC.
Great balance between power and control.

I own three AJH TMXi Pro blades. The AJH TMXi Pro is close to the W968 blade but plays like a mix between the W968 and Butterfly Viscaria.
In my opinion, the AJH TMXi Pro is truly a one-of-a-kind blade by Xiom. If I were to describe the blade, I would categorize it as “honest,” especially when using it with Hurricane 3 Neo. The blade, in combination with Chinese rubbers, is very linear and gives back exactly what the user puts into the shot. If technique and footwork are properly applied, you can make outstanding shots and really send over some dangerous rockets to your opponent.
Looping is a lot of fun, and the blade is very powerful. When looping, there is a strong feeling of ball holding and long dwell time. The headsize provides a lot of stability, which helps with looping, blocking, etc. Short and chopping games are also incredible with the AJH TMXi Pro.
I would recommend the AJH TMXi Pro to players who are on an intermediate level or higher and who prefer to create power themselves. Initially, some adjustment might be required due to the larger headsize. However, I believe that getting adjusted to the characteristics of the AJH TMXi Pro can be worth it due to its balanced characteristics, overall stability, and immense power.
