Xiom Allround S
Blade description:
This is an all-wood blade designed primarily for all-round play, making it a highly recommended choice for beginners and developing players focusing on technical refinement. It offers a balanced speed profile that excels in short-to-mid-distance play, providing enough power for controlled attacks while maintaining a high degree of precision for touch shots, blocks, and chopping.
Performance and Feel
- Construction: All-wood composition with moderate flexibility, offering a solid, comfortable feel and sufficient dwell time to facilitate spin generation.
- Playability: The blade features a linear response, allowing players to dictate speed through their own input. It is versatile enough to pair effectively with both tacky Chinese rubbers and tensor-style European or Japanese rubbers.
- Tactile Feedback: Users report a consistent feel with enough vibration to provide feedback during contact. The handle construction is noted for its high-quality finish and ergonomic comfort, which aids in overall maneuverability.
- Versatility: While it serves as an ideal entry-level tool for learning basic strokes, its reliability in the short game and looping potential makes it a long-term favorite for players who prioritize consistency and tactical control over raw, high-speed power.

This is the first blade I started playing table tennis with, and it’s truly fantastic for the price.
It provides excellent control, and the speed is great for an all-round blade. It pairs well with both Chinese and Euro-type rubbers. This blade is a gem to keep, perfect for looping all types of spins.
Update: I came back to this blade after breaking my DHS Hurricane Long 3. I just love the amount of control I have over the ball. I don’t even feel any lack of power. Also, my backhand became more consistent, and it boosted my confidence in executing any type of shot. I’m definitely going to stick to this blade.

I am a coach and athlete, and in the last three years I have discovered an excellent quality-price ratio in the Xiom brand. This particular blade offers excellent control with just the right power to be able to develop technical strokes with the effort that the athlete puts into each hit. The feeling is pleasant with a medium arc shot using hybrid rubbers like the Xiom Vega Europa H. It also combines positively with Chinese rubbers like the DHS Neo Hurricane 3 on the FH shot, as the dwell time is very good for generating great spin on strokes. The color of the handle is a little different from what is seen in the image, but it still has a top-notch finish and is aesthetically pleasing.

Started playing with a combination I was already used to: forehand: EL-P 2.1, backhand: Dawei 388D long pips ox. The blade has a really good and nice feeling of the ball. You can easily play a touch game, and it really helps for chopping. The speed is quite enough for attacking from the forehand side, and it really is ALL+ faster than my last blade, Stiga Allround Classic. I think this blade will also suit all-around blockers with inverted rubber from both sides.
