Soft rubbers work well for this blade. I use Yinhe 9000D on the forehand (FH) and Moon Pro Soft on the backhand (BH). Control is good, and the speed is also good (I guess it’s ALL+). My recommendation for you is to use Yinhe 9000D on both FH & BH since it’s cheaper than Moon Pro Soft, but the difference is not really significant in my opinion (Moon Pro Soft has more speed).

Just bought this blade, which turned out to be disappointing. Paired with H3 Neo on forehand and Sanwei T-88i on the backhand, the blade seemed to be hard like cement. I had no feel, the touch play was horrible, and worst of all, the spin was also terrible. Maybe this blade is suitable for flat hitters. Yinhe N11s is way better for me.

Got this blade in order to make some beginner’s paddles and sell them. Unfortunately, it seems a bit too fast for that. From my point of view, speed is closer to off- and not all+ as the above rating. I got two of them, both similar.

Nice finish, nice all-wood blades. Weight around 88-90 grams, nice feeling, no weird vibration. It’s a bit too hard, but I guess it’s the norm for Galaxy blades.

Good blades for the money. For all+ blades, I think the N-10 is more like it.

Review

I am an experienced amateur player who frequently places as runner-up or champion in provincial competitions. My usual setup is Palio Energy 03 CS Penhold with 999 999T (Traditional Penhold). To challenge myself, I played with this paddle, the Yinhe 9000D, which cost me approximately 15.5 USD in Asia.

Performance

This paddle provided excellent control, allowing me to vary the pace of the game from slow (waiting for the opponent’s error) to fast (block loops) to lobbing. The ball spin was also noticeable, making chop Penhold style effective. However, the speed was slightly lacking, resulting in slower loops compared to my Palio Energy 03. This can be compensated for with harder rubbers and improved technique. While the speed deficiency may not significantly affect experienced players, beginners may find it limiting.

Recommendations

This paddle is highly recommended for defenders on a budget. It has good wood quality but should be sealed for optimal performance. My chopper friend praised its control and was able to outplay rivals using LP BH (Dawei 388D-1 OX).

Alternate Setup for Modern Defenders

For a more balanced setup, consider using this paddle with LP BH (Dawei 388d-1 OX) and Inverted FH (Dawei 388a-4/999 999T). This setup provides excellent control and can be assembled for approximately 23 USD.

Slightly stiffer than N9s, the Plies are KFAFK K: Koto F: Fir A: Ayous. They play quite similarly.

Good blade for beginners to find their best form and learn various hits. It’s a blade recommended for its price and versatility.
