I have used this rubber in both 1.5 mm and 1.7 mm thicknesses. Overall, the rubber offers excellent control, minimizing unforced errors during short-game play and while chopping from a distance. It is a highly effective defensive rubber.

However, this rubber lacks attacking capabilities. While it performs adequately in counter-looping and provides excellent backspin, it falls short in generating sufficient spin for looping. Therefore, I recommend this rubber exclusively for defensive players.

I believe Tackiness Chop 2 is superior to Tackiness Chop. It excels at producing sharp chops and delivering spiny serves. Additionally, it performs well when chopping from a distance and counterattacking heavy spins. I highly recommend this rubber for modern defenders.

This rubber makes it very easy to execute a flatter yet spinnier chop compared to Tack Chop 1. The ball tends to fly upward and then dip onto the table, whether using a 1.1 mm or even a 1.9 mm sponge.

Additionally, I found that it offers more control than the original version. However, this increased control may be attributed to the fact that I tested it on the Butterfly Defense Alpha, which is a very soft blade.

This rubber is a very good option for defensive play. The pushes and chops produced are particularly heavy, making it effective for this style of play. Looping is also satisfactory; however, it is relatively slow, especially when compared to modern tensor-like rubbers.

In summary, while this rubber excels in classical defense, it may be too slow for modern defensive strategies.

As an all-round player, I opted for 1.9 mm on my forehand. After using an offensive rubber, this one feels quite slow but effective. I appreciate the increased control, and my forehand chops are as effective as my backhand.

The only negative point is that I have to swing my arm wide when I want to produce fast or medium-fast counter spin.

I love this rubber!

Here are some thoughts that come to mind:

  • Heavy spin
  • High control
  • Durable
  • The best rubber for chopping
  • Fast
  • A joy to play with

I’ve been using TACKINNES CHOP II for a period of four years now, and I am absolutely amazed by its performance! This rubber produces tons of spin and is good for both ALL and DEF styles.

Did I mention that TACKINNES CHOP II is the BEST RUBBER for chopping? In my opinion, it is even better than TACKINNES CHOP I as it generates more spin and has a lower throw angle. Combine this rubber with a DEF+ or ALL blade (preferably balsa), and you will be amazed at how dangerous it can be.

It is also quite durable. One sheet of this rubber usually lasts me about 20 months, with excellent spin production. I practice around eight hours per week, which totals approximately 160 hours! That is a lot compared to the 70 to 80 hours you typically get from most famous rubbers on the market today. After that amount of time, the rubber starts to lose its performance.

The only downside to TACKINNES CHOP II is that it is almost impossible to buy online. Most stores do not have it available in either 1.5mm or 1.7mm, which are the perfect thicknesses for deadly chops and the highest control possible without sacrificing your offensive abilities.

This rubber is quite slow, yet it offers excellent control and reasonably good spin, especially when executing chops. However, looping shots can be extremely challenging to execute, particularly when returning against reverse spin.

The sponge is harder than the tackiness itself, which enhances the overall performance of the rubber. This feature allows for better ball control and precision during gameplay.

Tackiness wears off very quickly. The rubber is not durable.

I started using this rubber on my backhand when it came on the market about 18 months ago. Previously, I was using Tibhar Legend, but I found the 1.7 mm hard sponge a little too fast after switching to a quicker blade.

Tacki Chop 2, in 1.3 mm thickness, solved the problem instantly. It offers great control and plenty of spin, even when paired with the Joola Kool frame. Additionally, it performs well for fast blocking and flat hitting, although it may lack pace when used with a slower blade.

The only downside is that the surface seems to deteriorate quite quickly and is nowhere near as tacky as the Legend.

As a recreational player, I may not be the most qualified person to rate a table tennis rubber, but I have been using this rubber for two years and genuinely love it. Therefore, I would like to submit my review.

I use it on the Butterfly Defence Alpha with the 1.1 mm version, and I am comparing it to the Tackiness Chop 1.7 mm on the same blade. While I can’t compare it to rubbers I haven’t used, here are my observations:

  • The flat speed is equal to that of the Tackiness Chop, but it is more difficult to loop with.
  • This rubber produces significantly more spin; I observed that the ball goes straight at a 50-degree closed face during self-spin juggling tests.
  • It feels less controllable and is harder to loop and chop with.
  • The throw angle is higher when looping.
  • The sponge is harder compared to others.
  • While it is less durable, it is still considerably more durable than the 729, suffering only a minor mark from a bang against the table.

Overall, I enjoy using this rubber, and these are my insights based on my experience.

This rubber is quite similar to Tackiness Chop, but it is a little quicker. Additionally, it can produce a lot more underspin when combined with a defensive blade.
