I like this rubber because it helps me improve my FH technique. Without good technique, you will not achieve a good topspin and the rubber may seem slow. It offers great control, allowing me to deliver awesome loops even against heavy backspin. However, as mentioned earlier, the right technique is crucial, utilizing your legs and generating power from the body rather than the arm. I use it on a Yasaka Max Carbon 3D blade (very fast) and they work perfectly together at mid-distance, making it easy to place the ball on the table in counterspin situations. Not the best choice if you are searching for a super-fast rubber.

Love this rubber, the quality and consistency are great.
#3 — October 2024
Not fast, but with good control.
#4 — January 2024
Honestly, I can’t tell the difference between this rubber and Hurricane 3. The sponge is a little softer, maybe. It works well on the backhand. I only tried the red version of this rubber. Still a great rubber, and so is Hurricane 3.
#5 — July 2023
I feel much better control with this rubber.
#6 — April 2023
I use this rubber for my FH. The spin is fabulous, and the control is excellent. Highly recommended.
#7 — January 2023
Getting used to it.
#8 — December 2022
It is a rubber that responds with a lot of control, spin, and power. I would use it just like the Victas TDE. Really good.
#9 — September 2022
A lot of spin and control. I use it with my Xiom Ignito Blade.
#10 — September 2022
Not as hard and powerful as Hurricane 3 Neo. Spin is good though.
#11 — August 2022
Performs as indicated. I like the rubber (non-boosted) with a nice feel/control for serve returns and close-to-the-table play. Requires good form and excellent racket acceleration, even at mid-hard, for the ball to bite into the sponge for full effect. I think my carbon off+ blade is too fast for this rubber - not allowing enough dwell time before the ball launches. I may try it on an all-wood 5 or 7 ply. Any suggestions?
#12 — July 2022
Fantastic rubber, long-time user.
#13 — July 2022
Was using H8 hard on BH, but switched to Mid and it has made a good difference.
#14 — June 2022
Hurricane 3 has better spin and feel.
#15 — March 2022
Requires a bit of adjustment as the rubber is harder than my previous one. I have it on my FH side. But after two months of playing, I really like it. Very good for mid-distance returns with enough power.
#16 — December 2021
Good price compared to the performance. Suitable for intermediate players.
#17 — September 2021
Good as usual. Corresponds to a hardness of 40 degrees, which is hard enough for most players.
#18 — August 2021
For me, 1.5mm was better.
#19 — August 2021
Good Chinese rubber.
#20 — July 2021
This rubber is excellent value for the money. I have played with this rubber for the past 2 years and really enjoy it: it’s very grippy, controllable, and long-lasting. It should not be a surprise to read this, but the corollary is that this rubber is not fast. A lot more physical effort must be put into a fast attack than would be required with, say, Tenergy 05 or Dignics 05.
#21 — April 2021
Easier to play than H3 Neo, more elastic, one of my favorites.
#22 — April 2021
I like it!
#23 — February 2021
Good rubber: DHS H3 - no need for booster or oil. Tacky sheet for good spin.
#24 — February 2021
Good rubber; mid-hard is a well-balanced rubber. It is not as tacky as Hurricane 3 Neo, but it is easier to adapt to and play with. Nice rubber and worth trying to enjoy it.
#25 — January 2021
A bit slow but with good control. I will be using H8 as my FH rubber for the next few years.
#26 — September 2020
If you want to play with tacky rubbers but find that regular (non-boosted) H3 and H3 Neo feel dead to you, I recommend giving this one a try. It is pretty cheap on the current competitive market, yet it is a durable and stable rubber. It plays like a boosted H3 Neo, with a god-like grip on the first day and becoming similar to a regular H3 later on. Users of Euro rubbers who have tried this one say they will give this rubber a try on their blade in the future. I use it on HL5x and HL5, and it suits the FH well; you can also try it on the BH. The mid-hard version is the only one recommended because the hard version is for everyday training for people with good technique, and the soft version lacks solid shots.
#27 — September 2020
One of the best rubbers for a novice, it helps you learn the strokes, but it is also good for intermediate or advanced players. Very sticky and elastic as well. Not a fast rubber.
#28 — September 2020
This rubber is made for the plastic ball, it grabs the ball very well. The mid-hard version is not recommended for the forehand as it bottoms out too easily; however, it is a good choice for backhand due to its softness. Do note that this is a heavy rubber!
#29 — September 2020
Felt a bit hard at first, but they are still excellent for any level of player. Of course, they are not as fast as other rubbers, but the spin is above average for all shots. I use them on my FH.
#30 — August 2020
Very fast speed and spin. I like it.
#31 — July 2020
La uso con mi paleta Fang Bo x2 y dio un excelente resultado, a pesar de estar consciente de que no es lo mejor que hay, es ideal para un jugador amateur o para un jugador de nivel medio.
#32 — April 2020
The Pros: Serves = 10; Smothering FH loops = 10;
Short/Receive touch and spin = 10; Fun = 10! If you want to have some fun again in pong, put this rubber on one of your paddles; it makes you want to try shots that make you laugh - you can rip a FH inside out and the ball will land! Or smother a hooking FH cross-court, it won’t be touched. It has some bounce compared to other “deadish” DHS rubbers, but not a lot like bouncy rubbers that allow you to just stand there. So, the Con is you have to move a bit to get into a position to have the most fun with this extremely spinny and controlled rubber. Enjoy!.

I have been using H3 Neo for the past year and felt that it was amazing but needed some little adjustments like the elasticity and topsheet. H8 is an elastic and more responsive version of the H3, a little less tacky though. I consider this rubber to be an alternative to a boosted H3. This rubber made an excellent BH option for me.
#34 — January 2020
I already play with DHS H3Neo and I feel DHS H8 Mid Hard is comparatively good with improved spin in my style of play.
I have DHS H8 Mid Hard on my backhand and my RPB is powerful with a lot of spin.
I like it and will get it again once it is worn out.
Thanks, Tabletennis11!
#35 — October 2019
This is the best Hurricane rubber I have tried so far. It is light, fast, and durable, and not too tacky. So far, it doesn’t need turning.
#36 — August 2019
A bit faster, 3 weight 71.4 g cut out - 52.6 g.
#37 — August 2019
This rubber is effective for spinning the ball and speed as well. The ball is now spinning more than before (I used to play with Stiga ready-made rackets). The performance has changed a lot since using these rubbers.
#38 — June 2019
Excelente goma, muy rápida con muy buen efecto. ¡Súper recomendable!
#39 — June 2019
Sticky and hard. For true athletes in table tennis :) But I am not…

H8 = H3+ booster. This rubber is good without boosting. If you like the Chinese style forehand, try this.
#41 — March 2019
I use this rubber on my BH. The first time using this rubber, it was really tacky. But nowadays, it’s just tacky enough as regular Chinese rubber. Because I used HN3 com before, I simply got used to using this and am comfortable with my playing style. I need to improve my technique on BH because my grip is penhold.
#42 — March 2019
I am not a high-level player, so it is very hard for me to tell the difference between Hurricane 8 and 3. It is a typical Chinese sticky rubber; you can create a very strong spin on the ball only with the rubber layer, which is very helpful for serving. It can also give a powerful topspin shot due to the hard sponge. The sponge will perform its elasticity only when you hit the ball with great power, so it gives a low curve in touch play.
To conclude, it performs very similarly to Hurricane 3, and I enjoy playing with it.
#43 — March 2019
Great forehand rubber! It has great spin and control on active shots can be incredibly fast with the right technique, timing, and footwork. However, a lack of physical strength and/or improper technique would make the rubber seem slow.
The rubber is best suited for a flexible blade (something in the region of off- at most). Stiffer blades would make applying spin to the ball an arduous task.
It isn’t as tacky as typical Chinese rubbers. I’ve been using it for over a month (~3 hrs/day, 6 times a week) and its characteristics seem to be fairly close to day one (-3% to -5% tackiness now), leading me to believe that this rubber has good durability.
#44 — February 2019
These rubbers are very good for beginners and recreational players. The spin and control are excellent. The speed is moderate. Overall, a great value for the price.
#45 — January 2019
You can do everything with this product, excellent control and incredible spin! Thanks Tabletennis11 from Argentina.
#46 — January 2019
This is a fantastic rubber, neither too dry nor too soft. You can easily apply spin with it and it is one of the best Chinese rubbers on the market.
#47 — December 2018
The rubber is tacky, the sponge is hard, but not too much and with some elasticity.
Will try to boost it. Seems like it becomes a dream!
#48 — April 2018
Sponge is not too hard. Good control.
#49 — April 2018
Накладка для любителя не подходит каждому.
#50 — March 2018
Super god, jeg er glad for den.
#51 — February 2018
Good quality rubber. If you like Chinese rubber and are looking for a softer sponge, this rubber is for you.
#52 — October 2017
#53 — July 2017
Spin capabilities were great for a short period of time.
#54 — June 2017
This rubber is excellent, also combined with a good quality bat makes it perfect. My game has improved tremendously lately because of the high quality of this product. I strongly recommend buying from tabletennis11.com.
#55 — June 2017
Very good, although it may lose the “tachi” features a bit too quickly.
#56 — May 2017
It is not a bad rubber; it is just that there are dozens of Chinese rubbers that are better. I consider it a failed DHS project.
#57 — April 2017
I am happy with it.
#58 — April 2017
This rubber is bouncy. Spin and speed are moderate. Smashes are not as hard. Could it be that this rubber needs a break-in period?
#59 — March 2017
Made for the polyball. Great for topspin and driving.

What a great Chinese rubber.
Thanks to DHS.
Highly recommend.
#61 — January 2017
It’s very easy to play with this rubber. I have an HL5 blade and I love this fusion.
#62 — January 2017
Used instead of Tenergy and found it a lower cost alternative to Tenergy. Great grip and good control as well. Doesn’t last as long, but cheaper anyway.
#63 — December 2016
Esta goma es buena, tiene muy buen agarre y también posee buena velocidad, pero es algo pesada.
#64 — December 2016
Highly recommended. Speed, spin, and control are excellent.
#65 — September 2016
Buena calidad de la goma, mucho efecto, muy buen control, pero no es una goma rápida. Uso esta goma al revés y al derecho y la paleta queda un poco pesada.
#66 — September 2016
Отличная накладка! Играть с ней одно удовольствие!
#67 — August 2016
DHS Hurricane 8 is the best rubber for me so far, even better than Tenergy. When choosing Hurricane 8 (or 3), you should use a booster. I recommend Seamoon, which is pretty popular in China. Remember, China is the NO. 1 Ping Pong country. You should follow Chinese players if you want to improve your skills.
#68 — July 2016
It feels like a hybrid, however it’s faster in lower gears and then not so fast in the high gears.
#69 — May 2016
Tried it for a few weeks and didn’t like it. Nothing special - used it as backhand on ZJK ALC. Went back to Tenergy.
#70 — April 2016
Had been using Hurricane 3 for the forehand for years. In general, 8 is a better version of 3. More powerful and spinning.
- Feels almost identical when close to the table. Don’t need to adjust anything.
- More powerful when away from the table, which is the biggest issue with 3.
- Looping seems to dive down a little faster.
#71 — March 2016
Tried many types of Hurricane rubbers for FH. Hate the smell from Hurricane 3 series. This Hurricane 8 has no irritating smell, that’s a good improvement. Unfortunately, it’s still not my cup of tea, no matter if I tried using booster on it or not. I give up.
#72 — March 2016
The new DHS Hurricane 8 rubber is great. I find it to be good on my backhand. It’s fast and has good spin. Also, it’s good for flat hits. Ideal for a person who likes to attack. Looping and chopping with this rubber, you can create lots of spin. I have this rubber on two different types of blades and find it excellent on both.
#73 — March 2016
This rubber is amazing for spin and speed.
#74 — March 2016
Hard sponge of 46 degrees provides a very spinny service and loops. Used preferably for forehand.
#75 — March 2016
Добрый день! Я сыграл всего один раз, поэтому не могу оценить свойства на данный момент!
#76 — March 2016
Okay.
#77 — February 2016
Quality is ok, price is average.
#78 — February 2016
Odlično se obnese pri močnem spinu, tako tudi pri obrambi močnih udarcev.
#79 — February 2016
Has a good effect and tackiness on the poly ball.
#80 — January 2016
Very tacky rubber. It keeps the tackiness for a long time. Good for playing close to the table. I wished to use this rubber on the forehand, but it is slower than I expected. Also, the hardness was not enough for my forehand as I like harder rubbers. I should mention that I’m in the top 50 in VIC, Australia, and these are my personal ideas. In general, I found it better for the backhand.
#81 — January 2016
Super spin and super powerful.
#82 — December 2015
This rubber is good for tacky attack looping style play.
It requires good technique and effort to play with this rubber.
It also needs a lot of cleaning to maintain its performance; therefore, a protective film is essential to minimize dirt particles.
#83 — November 2015
Good DHS rubber, nice price thanks TT11.
#84 — September 2015
It is okay but not good for me. Low speed, low spin, and refund is okay.
#85 — August 2015
Good rubber.
#86 — August 2015
It is not much different from DHS 3.
#87 — July 2015
Kontrolle ist sehr gut, aber etwas zu schwacher Katapult - mit meinem Holz.
#88 — July 2015
Not much different from the other Hurricane rubbers. I feel that Hurricane 3 boosts much better, but that is just a personal opinion. I can say that Hurricane 8 does appear to be a higher quality product than the inconsistent Hurricane 3 line of rubbers.
#89 — June 2015
This rubber is amazing! GOOD CONTROL and SUPER SPINNY. I am using this on my FH now & Tenergy 05 on BH with the power of Zhang Jike SZLC! Now I can loop with excellent control and maximum power with it!
#90 — May 2015
I like the same feeling as Hurricane 3 Neo (I used it for years), and with a better sponge. This is the rubber that I am looking for in the 40+ plastic era.
#91 — April 2015
First impressions after one practice session (H8 on FH + Nexy Calix):
a) Tackiness - It is a mildly tacky rubber, the level of tackiness is nowhere near N3 Neo. Which for me translates into a slightly worse short game and not as much spin on “brushy” serves. But still, H8 is much less bouncy than pretty much any modern tensor rubber.
b) Driving the ball - Easier with H8 than H3 Neo because H8 is less tacky. The same considerations apply to passive blocking. This is an area where H8 is better than H3 Neo.
c) Looping - The grip is good, quite reliable, but one needs to engage the sponge a bit more when looping using H8 in order to generate the same amount of spin as with H3 Neo. The arc is a bit lower than with H3 Neo.
d) Speed - At medium swing shots, H8 feels a touch faster than H3 Neo, but at full swing H3 Neo is faster and spinnier.
#92 — April 2015
As I use it, it shows on the back cover that the hardness of it is mid-hard, but actually, it is 39 degrees and the thickness is not 2.15 but 2.2. Whoever buys it should pay attention to it.
#93 — April 2015
This rubber is faster than H3, but not too much difference at all. I have tried playing with it without using booster, and it is rock hard. After using Falco booster on it, the sponge softens and the spin is better. I will say this rubber cannot be used without booster, while we all know booster is banned in official games, but so far, everyone is using it.
#94 — March 2015
As I first used it, I noticed it has the same tacky rubber but a different sponge. For topspin, it stays at the same level. Due to the softer new sponge used in Hurricane 8, it offers more speed and by playing harder, it reaches the Blade easily and the power of the wood can be maximized. One has to change their hitting habit a little bit if they are used to the harder sponge of Hurricane 3 or Neo. Overall, it should be the next classic of the DHS family. It is worth owning!
