Blade description:

The Xiom Ignito is a fast, offensive-oriented blade designed for players who prioritize aggressive play, precision, and reliable ball placement. It features a 3+2 construction utilizing “Energy Carbon,” a material engineered to reduce internal energy loss and maximize power transfer at the point of impact. The blade is typically topped with Hinoki wood, which contributes to a crisp, solid feel and high responsiveness during flat hits and smashes.

Key Characteristics

  • Performance: The blade offers a significant sweet spot and a linear, predictable rebound. While it is capable of generating high speeds, it remains controllable enough for active all-round to offensive playstyles. It excels in blocking, point-and-shoot attacks, and aggressive looping close to the table.
  • Feel and Dwell Time: Despite its speed and crisp feedback, the blade provides sufficient dwell time, allowing for effective spin generation. The touch is generally described as sharp and solid rather than hollow, though some users find the feel firmer than anticipated, which may require adjustment during short-game touches or pushing.
  • Construction: The Ignito is noted for its high build quality and craftsmanship. The handle is well-regarded for its comfortable, ergonomic design—typically wider and thicker than standard alternatives—which provides a secure grip.
  • Playability: The blade features a lower throw angle, making it highly effective for fast loop-kills and aggressive driving. While it performs well close to and at middle distance, users may need to exert more effort when playing from far away from the table due to the trajectory of the ball. It is generally recommended to pair the blade with medium-hard to hard rubbers to achieve optimal performance.

Excellent blade with no vibration. It is moderately fast and controllable. The speed is tolerable and not very fast. It feels like an “off” blade. Super control and linear rebound.

Personally, I am an aggressive offensive player. If I have a little possibility, I topspin or hit the ball. I evaluate speed and control. And I have used a few good blades before, like Clipper CC and Intensity Carbon (Stiga). But I was very pleased with Xiom Ignito. Good feeling, good speed (not too fast, not too slow), excellent control, sufficient dwell time. Brilliant and very balanced blade. Oh, I put on it Mantra M.
