Donic Acuda Blue P1 Turbo

Rubber description:

Rubber Type

This is a tensor rubber.

Performance Characteristics

The Acuda P1 Turbo is designed for offensive play, characterized by a distinct catapult effect that provides substantial speed and power, particularly when engaging the sponge. While the sponge is engineered to be hard, the topsheet is elastic and soft, resulting in an effective playing feel that is more moderate than its technical hardness suggests. It offers a medium-high throw angle that increases with swing intensity, creating a pronounced arc that facilitates secure looping and counter-topspin exchanges.

Playability and Control

This rubber is well-regarded for its balance between offensive aggression and consistency. It remains stable during the short game and blocking, as the catapult effect is less active on soft touches, allowing for a controlled, predictable response. Players focusing on technique will find that it rewards hard, aggressive swings with high-velocity shots. While highly effective for backhand play—including RPB styles—and mid-distance attacks, its linear and reliable nature makes it a secure choice for players who prioritize consistency over maximum, high-gear speed or spin potential.

Very underrated rubber. I don’t see how a rubber could be any more well-balanced.

It’s very spinny and fast on loops, fast and direct on drives, and consistent. It has a lot of gears— the short game is consistent and low as the catapult isn’t strong on light touches. The problem is though that you have to swing a bit hard to get a super duper pop because I feel like it’s designed to keep it in play and stay controlled.

However, when you do use your body, swing hard, and use proper technique, it rewards you greatly.

Durability is fantastic-- I’ve had it for months and haven’t noticed any changes in performance.

I use this rubber for backhand. It’s very amazing. Combined with Andro Rasant on forehand and using a Primorac Carbon blade, my attacks are all-out.

On the other hand, controlling backspin from opponents is also easy for me. Before, I used Donic Senso Carbon, but after using Primorac with Donic Acuda P1 Turbo, I have more options for my shots, including backspin, drive, or loopspin. All of them are very easy to execute.
