Donic Acuda Blue P3 table tennis rubber delivers an exceptional balance of speed, spin, and control, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of players. With an overall rating of 8.4 and thousands of positive reviews in various forums, it's no wonder why this rubber has become a favorite among recreational and professional players alike.
Acuda Blue P3 features a unique topsheet that enhances spin production while maintaining a high level of control. This makes it a great choice for players who want to generate heavy spin on their shots while still maintaining accuracy and consistency. The rubber also features a soft, grippy sponge that allows for excellent ball feel and responsiveness, making it easy to execute controlled loops and drives.
In terms of speed, Acuda Blue P3 offers a good balance that caters to both offensive and all-round players. It provides enough pace to keep opponents on their toes, yet it's not overly fast, making it suitable for players who prefer a more controlled style of play.
One of the standout features of Acuda Blue P3 is its consistency. Players can expect a reliable and consistent performance from this rubber, shot after shot. This makes it an excellent choice for players who want to maintain a high level of precision and accuracy in their game.
Overall, Donic Acuda Blue P3 is an exceptional table tennis rubber that offers a combination of speed, spin, control, and consistency. With its user-friendly nature and versatility, it's an excellent choice for players of all levels, from recreational to professional.
I have been using the 2.0 mm black version of this rubber on my backhand for a year, paired with a Donic Epox Powerallround blade. I purchased it for 40 euros.
This rubber offers medium speed, making it a class slower than the modern fast-attacking rubbers, yet it is not slow by any means. One of its biggest advantages is its excellent control. Backspin strokes, pushes, and blocks can be executed comfortably, as well as serve-return flicks. However, players need to execute a full stroke when performing these actions; otherwise, the ball can easily go into the net due to the relatively low throw angle.
The lower throw angle can also pose challenges during attacking smashes and topspins. While these strokes are achievable, they require a more open angle. When successfully executed, the low, spinny balls can create difficulties for opponents, as the rubber itself is quite spinny—spinnier than its counterpart, the Acuda Blue P2.
In comparison to the Acuda Blue P2, the Acuda Blue P3 is slower and features a lower throw angle (though not as low as the Coppa X3). However, it is slightly spinnier and offers significantly better control.
Overall, the Donic Acuda Blue P3 is a solid choice for amateur players who prefer to use basic strokes while maintaining good control.
This rubber is highly sensitive to relative humidity.
In dry weather, it is an outstanding rubber, providing lots of spin, acceptable speed, and excellent touch for returning spiny serves. I use it on the backhand side of my Off blade, and my loops are very spiny with the ball dropping in every time. It offers great controllability.
However, in high humidity, this rubber does not perform well at all. It becomes slimy, and the ball skids off almost like anti-spin.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? I’m not going to throw the rubber away, as it works perfectly fine during the winter months.
This table tennis rubber features a super soft top sheet paired with a medium soft sponge. Every time I execute a slow loop, I can feel the rubber biting into the ball, creating massive spin. The sound it produces is a satisfying “TOK!” followed by a “TAK!”
It is easy to generate spin with this rubber, making it a great choice for beginners, as well as intermediate players. You will have a lot of fun looping with this rubber. However, to achieve greater speed, you may need to rely on your own strength or pair it with a faster blade.
