Just started using this after Tibhar Evolution MXP. Firstly, I found it a bit more tacky than I expected, almost like Chinese rubber. My sheet is red with max sponge. The rubber seemed to look quite shiny, but maybe this goes away after a while. I’m using it on a fast, stiff blade (Yinhe T11+). After a couple of hours’ use, I really like it. I have to use more effort than with MXP, but I found it easier to hit harder without over-hitting and the ball going long. Occasionally with this Donic rubber, it seemed almost hard to miss the table. From first impressions, I would say I prefer this to MXP.
Speed is nothing without spin. Remember that.
Very good! Has it all. I got a couple of these from Jörgen Persson, who plays in my club, and I got very impressed, so I bought it myself. That was like 5 years ago.
Amazing attacking rubber, but needs strong physics and technique to be used effectively.
As an intermediate player, I’ve spent much time practicing with it, and I’m now quite happy with its performance.
My opinion is that it is underrated, high-end equipment.
Para mí, esta goma es excelente, con buena velocidad y efecto ideal para lanzar topspins súper veloces.
Been using this on FH of 5-ply OFF- all wood blade for about 1 year. The sponge is hard enough that I cannot bottom it out no matter how much I turn my body. It always has additional power/spin available. At the same time though, I can still compress the sponge even when my contact or position isn’t ideal. Control is excellent for something this fast. It felt very comfortable immediately.
The biggest aspect I noticed is that it’s easy to get my loops deep onto the table and low over the net with lots of speed. I flipped my racket around and tried it on my BH and was surprised that it worked so well for me. I normally use slower/softer stuff on my BH as it’s not a strength in my game. Top-spinning sound is very loud and satisfying.
Highly recommended to all attackers for FH or BH. The only drawback is that the durability isn’t the best. It’s not bad, but after 40-80 hours of use I started to notice a significant decrease in performance. Considering you can get this for about $40 a sheet, it’s easy to recommend.
I bought this rubber as my forehand (FH) for the Stiga Classic Carbon (Chinese penholder) and have to agree with some of the claims made by the manufacturer. The rubber will turbo your smash.
In my search to really boost my attacking play, I have used many kinds of rubber, such as Yasaka Pryde, Tibhar 1Q, DHS Tin Arc, Butterfly Sriver EL, and Butterfly Bryce. I found that this rubber was the coolest for smashing.
I agree that at least an intermediate level is required for handling this rubber as it’s quite fast.
However, I don’t understand all the fuss about the poor “control” on this rubber. I paired it with Nittaku Septear and the control is amazing, compared to my previous rubber, Nimbus soft, which had very poor control and consistency on the same blade.
Speed and spin are good. The weight is a problem though. Nimbus soft was very light but this one is too heavy in comparison. I’m not sure about the durability yet as it’s only been two weeks with this rubber on my blade.
Overall, an excellent rubber. I think this rubber will work well with other medium to medium hard and flex blades like Acoustic, Violin, virtuoso.
Great rubber, but not for beginners!
This rubber is a great choice for experienced players who are looking for a high-performance rubber that will give them the edge in competition. It is very responsive and has a good amount of spin, making it ideal for aggressive play. However, it is also quite hard and requires a lot of technique to use effectively. Beginners will likely find it difficult to control, and may be better off with a softer, more forgiving rubber.
Great speed with medium spin and low control. This rubber is best suited for aggressive players who prioritize speed over control and spin.
I recently switched to this rubber from a simple S1 MAX on FH, using it on a Timo Boll Forte in MAX thickness. After playing with it for only two days, I’ve noticed some key differences.
Compared to the S1, this rubber feels a bit heavier, but it’s also faster, spinnier, and offers slightly better control. The arcs it produces are remarkable, with almost every loop effortlessly clearing the net and landing on the table.
One aspect I’m particularly curious about is its durability. The original S1 had impressive durability, so I’m hoping this new version will perform similarly in the long run.
Donic S1 Turbo is a demanding rubber, but once you master it, it becomes exceptional. Its remarkable qualities make it an enjoyable choice. For me, it surpasses the renowned Tenergy rubber. I utilize the Donic S1 Turbo for my forehand strokes.
In terms of speed and spin, it is as good as any Tenergy rubber available. It is a formidable rubber with immense potential. I doubt that any human can fully utilize the level of speed and spin that this rubber offers. If you have it, keep it, as it excels in every aspect.
Super Speed and spin. One of the best rubbers you could ever think of.
Excellent rubber, but my skills do not fit this type of rubber.
Even though this rubber is difficult for me to use, I still like it.
This fast offensive forehand rubber provides good control and speed, making it ideal for loop drives and over-the-table attacks. It also excels at blocking and smashing. However, short balls and serves are not as easy to execute compared to the Acuda S2 due to its increased speed and reduced dwell time. Additionally, the rubber feels less hard or tacky in comparison to Chinese rubbers.
Very good topspin: The rubber generates a lot of topspin, allowing for aggressive and effective topspin shots.
Enough speed and spin: While it has very good topspin, it also offers enough speed to execute powerful shots. The spin it creates is also consistent and reliable.
A lot of grip: The rubber provides a high level of grip, which is essential for controlling the ball and executing precise shots.
Better block: The rubber excels at blocking shots, making it a good choice for defensive players or those who want to improve their blocking skills.
Chop: It also performs well in chopping shots, allowing players to effectively return underspin balls with control and precision.
Easy to control: Despite its high performance capabilities, the rubber is relatively easy to control, making it suitable for players of various skill levels.
One of the heaviest rubbers: It is worth noting that this rubber is one of the heavier options available, which may affect the overall weight of the paddle and the feel of the shots.
Very good for service, loop, push, and smash. Performs better on rigid carbons like the Joola Guo 3C. I use the 1.8 mm thickness and have good blocks as well. It is a bit heavier than I would prefer though.
Wow, this is the kind of rubber I was looking for. You may ask why. First, it’s easy to loop with. The spin is awesome, and the control is perfect. Then, I put it on a Donic Smirnorv Ultracarbon blade, and my table tennis game just got even more fun.
I’m using it on my backhand. It provides great speed and spin, yet it’s relatively easy to control. Overall, it’s an excellent rubber!
It’s the best rubber for more speed and spin and has good control.
This is a very fast rubber that isn’t suitable for everyone. Once you get used to it, you’ll love it. It works well with my Butterfly M Maze forehand.
I replaced the Rakza7 (max) on my forehand with this rubber. The sponge and sheet are slightly softer than Rakza. The most significant difference from Rakza is its throw angle. The S1 Turbo has a much higher angle. The amount of topspin and the ease with which it can be produced with this rubber are truly remarkable.
On my backhand, I use Coppa X1 Turbo. Both Coppa and Acuda have consistently high quality, and I can always count on getting the same products every time I make a purchase.
I put this on the backhand side of a Stiga Tube Carbo WRB blade. I like the weight on my backhand side, and the arch is great. However, it has less spin than Hexer HD, which is my forehand rubber. It loses grip faster than Hexer HD, so I need to wash it more often. By losing grip, I mean attracting dust so that the ball slips a bit. AS1T is also slightly harder than HHD. I hope this review helps!
