Pros:

  • Grippy surface provides excellent control.
  • Low pop, suitable for precise and controlled shots.

Cons:

  • Not very powerful, limiting explosive plays.

Overall:

This table tennis rubber is a great option for beginners due to its low cost and easy control. However, it may not be suitable for advanced players who require more power and spin.

This rubber is designed to provide exceptional power when hitting hard. I recommend placing it on the backhand side of the racket. When striking the ball with force, it generates both significant speed and spin, giving you the potential to overpower your opponent.

However, looping the ball from a distance may not be as effective unless you use a counter-attacking style with increased power. I experimented with using this rubber on the forehand side, but it didn’t perform as well as other popular options such as Hurricane, Darker V, or Tenergy.

Control is another area where this rubber excels. It delivers consistent performance, effectively serving its purpose. While it doesn’t offer any exceptional qualities, it remains a reliable choice.

Counter-attacking on the backhand with this rubber yielded excellent results. The sound of the ball striking the racket was particularly satisfying, indicating its ability to generate significant power. However, as mentioned earlier, its effectiveness is limited to mid to near table play.

For $27, this rubber offers excellent control and versatility. I use the 1.8mm variant with an off++ 7-layer DHS PG7 blade on my forehand. This combination provides excellent defense and ample power for delivering lethal shots.

While it has lost most of its tackiness after 40-50 hours of play, it still retains some stickiness and can generate a decent amount of spin. It excels in blocking and short-game play, making it a well-rounded rubber for various styles.

I’m playing with the Donic Waldner Black Devil, and it’s a perfect combination!

It’s pretty good for smashes.

It allows for tricky spins and precise placement of the ball at the table, even when your opponent smashes and the ball goes 4-6 meters off the table.

I had a 1.8 Black sheet that I used on my forehand until the pimples underneath broke and I got a bubble. I really liked the rubber but felt shortchanged by the damage which happened only 3 weeks after I bought it.

It could be because I do have quite a heavy forehand, and I am using a WRB Allround Stiga Oversized blade. Anyway, I recently invested in two more sheets, this time 2 mm thick.

I’m surprised by this rubber in many ways. It’s faster than you’d think a 1.5mm rubber would be, and has lower gears, but it does scale up when you crank up the arm speed.

It’s not springy at all. I have no problems doing short forehand chops with it or very low serves. Chopping is ok, not great.

Not sure what about it does it, but it does have some deception to it. The topsheet isn’t really grippy at all, nor is it that tacky, however it manages somehow to generate decent spin.

Blocks great, reminds me a bit or a harder sponged, poor man’s Juic Aircondle in how the topsheet isn’t really anything and how it is pretty insensitive to spin.

I did not like the rubber at first, but as I used it, it became better. It’s brilliant for topspin and is still pretty good for backspin and sidespin as well. It’s the best rubber I have used!

Great rubber for attacking purposes. Loops drop at the end. It is not a high-throw rubber, only average medium at most, so loops will stay on the table most of the time with lots of spin. You get that nice click sound on solid loop-kills and smash hits. It is also a nice rubber to use for RPB, and you will be deadly if you already have a fast backhand swing. It is worth the money and seems to be a very popular rubber in Taiwan.

Excellent all-round rubber with attacking possibilities. I mean, it’s great rubber. I use it in 1.5mm on a defensive blade and love it. It will be even faster on an offensive blade. Handles service like no other, almost like an anti, but grips the loop like tacky rubbers.
