Donic Coppa JO Platin Soft
Rubber description:
This is a tensor rubber designed primarily for offensive play, characterized by a pronounced “glue effect” and a noticeable, crisp sound upon impact. It offers significant speed and a high throw angle, making it well-suited for looping, counter-looping, and aggressive flat hitting. When paired with the appropriate blade, players can achieve a dynamic catapult effect that aids in power generation and effortless blocking.
Playing Characteristics
- Speed and Spin: The rubber provides high levels of both speed and rotational potential. It excels in offensive exchanges, particularly during flat smashes and topspin rallies.
- Control and Dwell Time: While capable of high performance, the balance of control varies based on user technique and blade selection. The high throw angle requires a period of adjustment, particularly for players transitioning from flatter-trajecting rubbers.
- Tactile Feedback: A defining feature is the distinct cracking or clicking sound produced when striking the ball firmly, providing clear sensory feedback during offensive shots.
- Durability: The rubber is known for a relatively short peak performance lifespan. While some users report satisfactory longevity, others note that the sponge and topsheet may lose their elastic properties and effectiveness after roughly one month of intensive play.
Suitability
The rubber is generally recommended for attacking players who favor a fast, offensive game. It functions effectively for flicking serves and blocking incoming loops, though some users may find it challenging to generate consistent topspin against heavy underspin. Due to its fast nature, precise technique is required to prevent the ball from sailing long during play away from the table.

Used it with Butterfly Tamca ULC Penhold. This is a good combination and provides excellent control. It offers good spin, control for block shots, and counter smash. It is ideal for fast attacking players.

Using Donic Coppa JO Platin soft on Re-Impact Tachi - a combination blade - the catapult effect from DTE rubber is fantastic. Control is very good.
The best rubber I have played with, beats Tenergy any time.
