I got this MAX placed on my backhand with an H-WLQ blade. It’s a good choice, providing speed for blocks and counters. However, I find it difficult to topspin underspin balls with this rubber. Despite this, I love the sound it produces. Be aware that it fades quickly.

Used it with Butterfly Tamca ULC Penhold. This is a good combination and provides excellent control. It offers good spin, control for block shots, and counter smash. It is ideal for fast attacking players.

Using Donic Coppa JO Platin soft on Re-Impact Tachi - a combination blade - the catapult effect from DTE rubber is fantastic. Control is very good.

The best rubber I have played with, beats Tenergy any time.

I thought it had nice spin, but it could have been faster. It is quite difficult to control, but if you have the right technique, it’s a great rubber.

A rubber without significant disadvantages, well balanced and quite durable.

#6 — January 2011

It is a fast rubber but I cannot dominate it sometimes.

Soft Rubber

  • Good spin
  • Plenty of speed
  • Reasonable control (for the first month)
  • Great for looping on backhand and flat hitting
  • Good for flicking serves
  • Blocking is effortless
  • Hitting incoming loops feels nice

Durability Issues

  • Lasts for about a month
  • Becomes dead, non-tacky, and slow afterward
  • Costs $35 or more for a month of use
  • Rips like paper if it hits an edge
  • Requires a rubber protector to prevent damage

Super Fast, Impossible to Control, Lackluster Spin

This rubber is incredibly fast, making it difficult to control. The spin it produces is also unimpressive.

A Poor Choice for Most Players

If you’re looking for a rubber that will allow you to hit the ball with extreme power and spin, this is it. However, if you’re a normal human being, you’ll likely find it difficult to control. Your game will suffer as a result.

Zero Control

The rubber’s lack of control is its biggest flaw. It’s almost impossible to keep the ball on the table, making it a poor choice for most players.

This rubber has a high throw angle and takes some getting used to.

When looping, the sound is nice, and it has a cracking sound when hitting.

It is fast, so the ball will tend to fly long.

The biggest con is the short playing life of the rubber - it does not last.

If you can afford it, though, it does perform well.

Review:

An excellent rubber for attackers.
Short Game:
Controllable, not too fast.

Serves:
Could use more spin.

Topspins:
Gain a lot of spin.

Smashes:
Powerful and fast.

Looping away from table:
Must be precise, as the ball can easily fly too far.

Additional Note:
This rubber produces a good sound if hit hard enough.

Very good glue effect rubber.
It seems to last a little longer than the few other glue effect rubbers and is not too fragile.
Of course, it loops well and counter loops nicely.
I also think it has a decent short game and pushes ok in 2.0 sponge on my defensive blade.

Yes! I liked this rubber a lot. It provides great adherence and control, without losing speed.
