Stiga Calibra LT Spin
Rubber description:
The Stiga Calibra LT Spin is a hybrid rubber characterized by its medium-soft sponge and high elasticity. Designed to be versatile, it offers a distinct feel that adapts to the intensity of the shot; it provides a soft, controlled touch for passive play, while feeling firmer and more responsive during high-impact drives and smashes. The rubber produces a medium throw angle and is noted for a lively, bouncy nature that favors aggressive topspin play and tactical placement.
Performance Characteristics
- Spin and Dwell: The rubber provides sufficient dwell time to generate high-quality spin on loops, chops, and serves. While it may not reach the extreme peak spin levels of some specialized professional rubbers, it offers enough mechanical grip to handle incoming spin and execute controlled, aggressive attacks.
- Speed and Control: It is capable of high-speed play, particularly when utilized for smashes and fast drives. Despite its bounciness, it is highly regarded for its control, allowing players to perform precise loops and short-game maneuvers if they possess the necessary touch.
- Versatility: The rubber performs consistently both close to the table and from mid-distance, making it suitable for all-around offensive players and those who favor a spin-oriented attack.
Durability and Maintenance
A frequent observation regarding this rubber is its delicate construction. Users often report a tendency for the edges to chip or the surface to show premature signs of wear if not handled carefully. Longevity varies significantly based on maintenance, and it requires regular cleaning to preserve its performance. Due to its susceptibility to physical degradation, it is generally recommended for players who are prepared to perform diligent maintenance to ensure the rubber maintains its playing properties over time.

Horriblemente mala goma. De partida la abres y parece que viniera quemada como espejo. El efecto paupérrimo.

I used Caliber LT Spin on my forehand, testing it on a Stiga Clipper CR non-WRB blade. This rubber doesn’t give you a hard spin, but it provides a lot of control and bounces well. I believe this rubber is suitable for tactical loop players who have good ball placement. However, it is important to note that this rubber is relatively easy to break, so it requires proper care. Be sure to clean it regularly after practice. I recommend this rubber for consideration.

In my opinion, this rubber is not good for short games, as it is too bouncy. The durability is also not good. However, it still has a good speed.
