Stiga Calibra LT Plus
Rubber description:
This high-performance tensor rubber is engineered for maximum velocity, widely recognized as one of the fastest options available. It features a unique sponge architecture that generates a distinct sound and provides a pronounced catapult effect, allowing the ball to sink into the rubber for improved dwell time. Despite its extreme speed, the rubber offers a linear throw and a forgiving nature, making it effective for both flat hitting and heavy topspin loops.
Performance Characteristics
- Speed and Trajectory: The rubber produces a long, fast trajectory, which is particularly effective for mid-to-long distance play while remaining manageable for close-to-table attacks.
- Spin and Control: It offers high spin potential and consistent power on full drives. The low arc of its topspin shots makes them difficult for opponents to counter.
- Versatility: It performs reliably across various blade compositions, assisting with flicking, lifting backspin, and active blocking.
Technical Considerations
- Skill Requirement: Due to its immense speed, this rubber is not recommended for beginners and requires advanced technical control to utilize effectively.
- Maintenance: While highly effective, the topsheet may experience a decline in grip after three to four months of consistent use.

The rubber is extremely fast, and its spin is also impressive.

I have used Tenergry 05FX, MX-P, MS-S, and Hurricane rubbers. However, overall, this rubber is my personal favorite. It feels similar to Tenergry, and has a nice catapult. The ball sinks into the rubber, allowing very nice control. It has a low throw, so it is difficult for your opponent to counter the top spin. This rubber is definitely faster than Tenergry and more consistent. With Tenergry, the balls used to drop a lot while hitting a top spin. However, with Calibra, the ball hardly drops. It has given my game a new meaning. Please try it out for yourself.

Very fast, with decent speed. This is one of the best rubbers Stiga has produced in a while. It is not recommended for beginners.
