Stiga Calibra LT Plus

Rubber description:

The Stiga Calibra LT Plus is a high-performance table tennis rubber designed for advanced players seeking speed and spin. Known for its incredible speed rating of 9.5 and commendable spin rating of 9.1, this rubber truly stands out in competitive play. The Calibra LT Plus integrates advanced technology to enhance gameplay, providing an exceptional balance of speed and control, primarily ideal for aggressive playing styles. Players appreciate its fast nature, which can catch opponents off-guard, allowing for quick attacks and powerful loops.

In terms of tackiness, the Calibra LT Plus scores a moderate 3.4, offering a level of grip that facilitates effective topspin shots. The rubber features a medium weight of 6.1, making it lighter than many standard rubbers, which contributes to faster shots and improved maneuverability. While the performance of this rubber is widely praised, players note that its durability can be a drawback, with reviews indicating that the top sheet may begin to lose grip after just 3-4 months of intense play.

Alternatives to the Calibra LT Plus include its close competitors like Tenergy 05, which is often referenced for its exceptional feel and spin capabilities. While players have found Tenergy to offer a greater level of control, the Calibra LT Plus has been described as faster and more forgiving, making it a preferred choice for those looking to enhance their offensive game. Overall, the Stiga Calibra LT Plus is an excellent option for experienced players who prioritize speed and aggressiveness in their playing style.

I have used Tenergry 05FX, MX-P, MS-S, and Hurricane rubbers. However, overall, this rubber is my personal favorite. It feels similar to Tenergry, and has a nice catapult. The ball sinks into the rubber, allowing very nice control. It has a low throw, so it is difficult for your opponent to counter the top spin. This rubber is definitely faster than Tenergry and more consistent. With Tenergry, the balls used to drop a lot while hitting a top spin. However, with Calibra, the ball hardly drops. It has given my game a new meaning. Please try it out for yourself.

Very fast, with decent speed. This is one of the best rubbers Stiga has produced in a while. It is not recommended for beginners.
