Despite its high speed, it offers impressive control, rated at 80, allowing players to maintain consistency and stability in their stroke execution.
The rubber's tackiness level of 2.4 provides a good balance between spin and forgiveness. The moderate tackiness allows players to generate sufficient spin while still maintaining control over the ball. In terms of throw angle, the DNA Pro S offers a moderate-high throw angle of 6. This characteristic suits players who prefer a more direct and powerful attack, as the higher throw angle helps to minimize the impact of incoming spin and provides more direct power transfer.
Players appreciate the rubber's consistency, rated at 7.5, as it delivers reliable performance and predictability in various playing conditions. Its durability rating of 6.5 indicates good longevity, although its lifespan may vary depending on playing frequency and care.
Overall, the Stiga DNA Pro S is a well-rounded attacking rubber that excels in speed, spin, and control. Its optimized sponge and topsheet combination offers excellent playing characteristics, catering to the demands of advanced and professional table tennis players seeking high performance and versatility.
It is a good rubber for the backhand, but for the forehand, it is the worst rubber you can buy.
I have tested the rubber on my backhand, and I found it to provide good speed and spin. However, I feel that it is too fast for my playing style.
For reference, the weight cut for my small blade with Max Soft is 48g.
The performance of the table tennis rubber is good overall. However, it could benefit from a bit more spin and better feeling during play.
