Victas V > 15 Stiff

Rubber description:

The Victas V > 15 Stiff is a high-performance table tennis rubber designed for players seeking a balance of speed, spin, and control. This rubber features a unique topsheet that, while softer than its predecessor, enables excellent tackiness and grip, allowing for aggressive shots that can cut through the air with precision. The V > 15 Stiff is tailored for players who love to play an offensive game, delivering powerful forehand strokes with ease.

In terms of tackiness, the rubber scores a solid 0.7 on a scale where higher values indicate better grip. This ensures that players can generate impressive spin on their shots, making it easier to dictate play during rallies. The sponge hardness is rated at 5.6, contributing to the rubber’s overall performance and feel, providing enough feedback on impact to enhance control and shot placement.

Regarding weight, the V > 15 Stiff is classified as having a medium weight at 4.7, making it suitable for players who prefer a lighter setup without compromising on power. This rubber is also noted for its durability, receiving an 8.4 rating, which suggests it can withstand the rigors of competitive play without deteriorating quickly. While some users have mentioned that the V > 15 Stiff may not match the speed of the V01 series, it compensates with excellent control and consistency.

For those considering alternatives, the V > 15 Stiff can be compared to other well-regarded rubbers such as Donic BlueFire JP and Gewo Hype series, both of which share similar playing characteristics. Ultimately, the Victas V > 15 Stiff is an excellent choice for offensive players looking for a rubber that balances speed, spin, and control beautifully.

I bought the 01 Stiff rubber thinking that it would be just like the 01 Stiff, only with more speed. However, I was wrong. The topsheet of the V15 Stiff is softer, so it produces less speed than the 01. I think soft topsheets only work with 47+ degrees sponges when you want speedy strokes to finish the point.

Going back to the V01 Stiff, which is one of the best backhand rubbers that I have used.

Compared with V>15 Extra, my current BH rubber, V>15 Stiff is one degree below in every aspect of the game. It is a bit cheaper, but considering what they both offer, V>15 Extra is totally worth the few extra bucks.

Hi Folks,

So I have used many pieces of Victas rubbers in the last few years, mainly the V01 series in all 3 sponge hardness. They were all good rubbers as the list above.

Now the 01 is not on the market and V15 is the replacement and it is compatible to 01 stiff. They play very similar to Donic Bluefire JP / Gewo Hype series.

The only weak point is the average durability. TSP rubbers tend to be like that. If you see them on sale, buy a piece to try, you’ll like it.
