Victas V > 15 Limber is a table tennis rubber designed specifically for players who prioritize control and spin over sheer speed. With an impressive overall rating of 9.3, this rubber excels in key performance areas, making it a popular choice among intermediate to advanced players. Its soft sponge hardness of 4.4 results in a tackiness rating of only 1.7, indicating that while it may not produce the extreme spin levels of tackier rubbers, it offers exceptional engagement with the ball for precise shots and excellent control, particularly for those playing closer to the table.
In terms of weight, Victas V > 15 Limber is medium, with a reported weight of around 64 grams in max thickness, but some users have noted variances in their individual measurements. This rubber is appreciated for its durability, despite some mixed reviews—while some players report it lasts only a couple of weeks, others find its longevity acceptable for regular play. Its unique blend of a lower speed rating of 8.8 coupled with outstanding control (9.4) provides players the confidence to execute a wide variety of strokes, especially in strategic situations.
Alternative options for players considering Victas V > 15 Limber include the Victas V > 15 Extra, which offers a faster game but may sacrifice some of the control that the Limber variant provides. Additionally, for those seeking a similar feel, the Evolution FX-D is mentioned as having comparable playability. Overall, Victas V > 15 Limber is a solid choice for those who emphasize touch and accuracy in their game rather than relying solely on power.
Bought this rubber due to the positive reviews here, particularly for backhand play. I was curious about other users’ weight evaluations, but it can be a bit perplexing on revspin at times. The rubber has a weight rating of “4.0” currently. However, using my digital scales, I measured it to be 49.5g, which is not considered lightweight. For a supposedly soft rubber, it’s too heavy in my opinion. I must acknowledge that it plays well, but it has altered the handling of my racket, necessitating its removal. If memory serves, it’s comparable to the new Evolution FX-D, which is also advertised as being soft (but plays like a medium) and is also relatively heavy.
This is the best rubber I have ever used. Previously, I had Ventus Extra, which was not very good at all. The Ventus Extra was not sensitive to the ball with the underspin and could not hit it well. The rubber I am reviewing, however, fits well and is not springy, providing excellent control.
It’s a good rubber for players who play close to the table. The spin is good with much control. The rubber isn’t very fast, and I think most players choose the V15 extra.
